A few months ago I let my 7 year old brother play Halo 5 on my profile. Since then I have been far more enjoying Halo 5 simply by sharing my profile. I obviously made some ground rules… No changing my character, don’t use my REQs, don’t get me banned. Other then that all is fair game.
The results are…
-I’m getting REQ points way faster. I refuse to pay real money on micro transactions but still being able to reach the home stretch of having everything has been very nice. I’ll come home from activities and then open 1-3 gold packs with my brother. People look at my stats and say I play too much but… I really don’t.
-I’m forced to disregard KD. Many people ruin their enjoyment by feeling they need a good KD all the time which causes stress on bad games, bad attitudes, and quitting. By sharing my profile I can’t care about KD even if I wanted to. Things are way more enjoyable, maybe goof off in a vehicle from time to time without the worry.
-My brother often gets me ranked in playlists or ruins my current rank. This means that like KD, I don’t have to worry about rank. I’m a social player and though I often play to win my primary goal is to have fun. Now if you like ranking up then establish this as a “do not ground rule.” But it is way more fun to just have fun, and slaughter the golds when your brother puts you there.
So if you naturally find yourself caring too much about these things then I would suggest getting someone to play, even just a bit, on your profile. That or if you just want free REQ points. Have fun.
