Okay so after a lot more than 1000 games played, I’ve seen a ton of people not playing in the most efficient way…
So to make everyone’s life better, REVEAL YOUR PRO TIPS to win Rounds quickly !
-
Pop Grunt Mechs’ shield with a Sentinel Beam/ DELTA COVENANT SNIPER / Spitfire pistol/ Twin Jewels of Maethrillian / SPARTAN LASER and headshot the pilot with a precision weapon - Splatter Elites/Prometheans with Wraiths/Ghosts/Banshees it’s WAY more effective than wasting entire magazine on em +, you can spawn kill them easily this way EVEN SOLDIER/ELITE BOSSES (DON’T TEAMKILL YOUR TM8 THO). - USE YOUR REQS , use Tanks, Wraiths (better than tanks imo), Spartan Lasers, Splinter Turrets, to kill enemies more easily etc… YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN THE SILVER PACKS - ARC Rail Gun can 1 shot 2 ghosts right after they’re dropped if lined up, not bosses tho (Useful in Attack on Sanctum Ghost Round) - AGAINST PROMETHEANS KNIGHTS, USE THE TEMPLE WRAITH/SPLINTER TURRET, it shoots almost twice as fast as a regular Wraith and is imo better than tanks, unless you need to shoot from far away - THE AA WRAITH IS NOT GOOD, if you want to do damage, use every wraith BUT this one, the Best is the TEMPLE WRAITH as it shoots Faster, and further if you boost while shooting. - For Garage Defense Rounds: on Urban just stand on the roof to contest it, and on Escape from ARC park a Warthog next to the REQ station at the 2nd floor, and hide behind it. Don’t shoot or jump or they will shoot it until it explodes, but stay active to not get kicked for being AFK. - HELP YOUR TEAM, you can’t take down 3 Wardens on your own, so make way for your teammates tanks to help them shoot the bosses with you. If nobody took a banshee to splatter the Ultra Elites, pop one and save your team a ton of time and save the game. - Watch videos on Youtube, there’s a lot that explain how to be efficient, different strats, enemies’ spawns etc… if you have some time, watch some and you’ll save some time when playing games - Using a Phaeton, you can dash in the Warden Eternal to push him off the map, OR if he’s close to a wall, turn sideways and dash into him and against the wall. You can deal a TON of Damage if done properly, I already drained a full life Warden Eternal to 1/8 of health by myself with only One Dash in a wall. Just practice if you have don’t have time to kill him by using tanks and have enough Phaetons.

Thanks
Def agree. Spammin vehicles is a must on Mythic Firefight. Grind reqs in arena n regular warzone ff, n go nuts when you do mythic.
Something I would like to add is don’'t hog all of the kills if you want to have decent backup in the final rounds.
There are rounds where the bosses or large groups of enemies can be splattered very quickly. In earlier rounds, if only one person gets credit for the kills, it can really hamper everyone else. If I notice I am getting to level 8 or 9 in the 4th round, I will hang back and try to let some of my teammates get some kills too (assuming I am pulling away from others). Being efficient is good, but don’t be TOO efficient to the point where others can’t even get normal AI kills because you were so fast to kill the boss.
Even in matches where the best strategy is to immediately kill a boss, let your players get a few shots in so that they can also get some points to call in better reqs. On the flip side of that, if you see someone killing bosses very quickly, get your shots in to get credit when possible.

Yeah, its quite relatable to me, I’m never really good at warzone firefight and everybody else is on a higher level than me.
Never tried using the Rail on the ghosts like that, I will have to give it a try.
tanks, tanks and more tanks
I play a fair bit of WFF, occasionally hop into Mythic, but without a solid team it’s very variable for me.
Appreciate the tips in here, but wondering what people’s thoughts are regarding most weapons…
Vehicles, not having finite ammo reserves, seem a far better investment in most games. I’ll occasionally whip out the Hammer or something specific like a Laser, but so much of the rest of it seems woefully underpowered for WMFF to me.
Am I missing something? Even things like “getting behind Warden Eternal” become problematic in a PUG WMFF I find…

Sure shot method, Tank beats everything after all.

Yup, the best is also the ONI SCORPION, it shreds through enemies and is very helpful especially in Round 5 Sanctum, it pierces through KNIGHTS so if you hit their crit spots it’s gg
Another thing that’s effective as a team although dangerous if you’re not careful, if you’re fighting against boss Mantis vehicles, use the Grinder gravity hammer. It’ll do decent damage as well as repeatedly stun the boss so others can get hits in. Plus, black eye skull will refill your shields with each hit.

It depends heavily on the situation. What I’d recommend is, if you’re not very good in close quarters or if enemy numbers are high, fight at a distance. Use the Battle Rifle or DMR, slap some extra ammo on there too if you want. You can kill most infantry pretty easy and even knights can be dealt with relatively fast if you’re accurate. If you like the idea of using the black eye skull to your advantage, be quick, get close, croutch often, and use the smg with either increased ammo or kinetic bolts. Once you reach round 4, bring out a heavy vehicle or heavy weapon and put on the Wheelman armor mod and you should be all good.
Oh, and use damage types. Promethean weapons are good at breaking promethean armor, and plasma weapons are the best at taking down strong energy shields. Don’t be afraid to pick up a plasma pistol or storm rifle if Elites are giving you trouble.

The main strategies I would like to share is to be be prepared for the future, be creative and use distance as your best friend. The main reasoning for these tips should be pretty obvious as it’s always preferable to be on the right spot on the map for the next wave and to use creative solutions to beat the wave like to attack from the flank instead of the front.
Whenever you are dealing with enemies coming into the map using the Promethean warp tech (or otherwise regarded as “spawn gates” in the campaign), try not to instantly splatter or blow apart an entire group of enemies that spawn on one of them, because otherwise the game will not register that you had defeated a certain number of enemies, and then the enemies stop spawning in. However, if you can save at least one enemy as you start spawn killing when the situation is all under your hands or just waiting at least 2 seconds after the enemies spawn before starting to kill an entire group, there should be nothing to worry about.
This glitch is largely inconsequential in defense scenarios, but in rounds where you actually have to defeat a number of enemies within a 5-minute time limit, you basically end up waiting the rest of the match, doing nothing, until you finally lose. This is one glitch I see that happen very frequently, on the early rounds especially.

Keep the ARCLIGHT Railgun, it’s also good against other vehicles not just ghosts
Good stuff to keep in mind. Trying to get back on the halo train!
Thanks so much for the thread raptor sii!!
I’ve recently started playing Mythic Firefight in order to obtain better EXP, so having all of these tips and insights from yourself and everyone else has been very helpful
Thanks to everyone else who has also contributed to the thread
