I say give it more base mag ammo at the very least. Maybe an increase to 23 or slightly increase the fire rate? I don’t know.
It is already underpowered per shot and it’s range is awful.
I feel like it can be useful in medium size maps(Slayer) but anything bigger and it is atrocious(big team).
Thoughts?
I don’t know why people says it’s underpowered. Many times I’ve killed someone with Carbine, and many times died from Carbine. I would say it fits nicely between BR and AR. Much depands on how fast your trigger finger is.

Id have to agree here the carbine is perfect as is, its one of my favorite weapons for medium sized maps. I see the BR as a pointless POS, and so i turn to the carbine when im looking for a medium distance precision loadout weapon.
The only thing that would make it better without it being too cheap or drastic would be an increase in long range accuracy, it has a 2X scope compared to that of the DMR and LR which are at 3X.
Heck one of my favorite loadouts to mess around with for distance and medium ranged standoffs uses the following.
LR, Carbine, Plasma Grenades, Thruster Pack, Firepower, and stability.
The LR is a god send with stability, its just too bad its so limited on ammo.
Btw out of all the precision loadout weapons the carbine lasts the longest, ammmo wise that is. DMR comes in a very close second if not tied if your 100% accurate with the thing.
It’s not ammo that’s making me unhappy. It’s the damn scope. In bright areas, it’s difficult to make out enemies unless you combine it with PV.
Also, it could use a little more accuracy, a little more range efficiency, maybe a slight damage boost (6sk). The BR just doesn’t feel useful anymore and the other 2 are not always available so the Carbine is my preferred precision gun.
Let me go ahead and say that I am a dedicated Carbine user.
With that said, I feel like the Carbine is balanced with most weapons, the only thing that truly hurts it is the DMR. The DMR has much stronger aim assist, better range, and, perhaps worst of all, a noticeably faster kill time. Even at close range the DMR will always outshoot a Carbine, even though the carbine should be “better” in close/mid range just because it has stronger aim assist and a faster kill time.
If they don’t want to nerf the DMR, I think the Carbine should be buffed to either a 6sk or 7sk, just enough to make it have a faster kill time than the DMR. Taking less shots to kill would also address the ammo issue some people feel it has.
I use the Carbine as my default weapon. Its beast IMO. I think every weapon needs to be as cool as the Carbine.
ugh… just leave it alone. leave ALL the weapons alone.
Its fine just the way it is. It would be hella OP if you could kill people in 6 shots with it.
