I think there no explanation for this other then just a bug

Definitely seems like lag. Someone else had pretty much the same issue in Warzone.
Just a random glitch due to lag I think.

how can it be lag if I just stick’ed someone else seconds before, the rest of the game looks smoothly.
I whish 343 add some kind of signal chart of how strong is your internet, that way you can identify laggy players and you as well

Lag can be rather inconsistent. It’s similar to the glitch where planting a grenade on a vehicle sometimes doesn’t kill it, but the rest of the game runs smoothly.
It looked like the grenade was stuck right on his foot and as he walked it phased through the floor,it’s rare but it’s actually a thing that can happen. Similarly to swapping a stuck weapon with one on the floor to save yourself, hard but doable
I’ve had people stick my Splinter Turret I’m carrying, so I drop it and thrust away and I lived.
