How the sprint poll should have been done.

Rather than being some obtuse feedback poll most people didn’t know about, 343 should have done plain data collection during the beta using Sprint and Non Sprint playlists. A hidden tracker would have kept track of it, and the results would have been posted at the end.

To prevent outliers such as tryhards who will play for hours and hours and hours in only one playlist or another, the data would be collected from clicks that would result in full games, with say only 5 per day counting from unique IPs. Those results (If implemented better than my idea by someone who does this stuff for real) would have been a much better census.

It does make me wonder if they have even played around with the idea of no sprint.

This would have been quite fun to observe.

This’s how the poll should’ve been like:

Do you think sprint should stay in Halo?

  • Yes O- No OIt should’ve been public, too.
