This is a thread just to talk about weapon balance and how I think that all the weapons are balanced.
Ok so, the DMR, BR, LR, carbine, assault rifle, storm rifle, and supressor are all the primaries in the game. Now I am going to compare weapons: the Dmr and Br will have there purposes for multiplayer. The Dmr looks like it does not have as much aim assist and is odd to shoot at medium to closer ranges and will probably be out gunned by the BR because the BR is burst fire, witch makes more room to be off a little bit and still hit them, it has more aim assist, and its easier to land the headshot. This new BR is looking to be a lot more consistent than the halo 3 one. This BR actually hits all 3 bullets when you have the reticle on the enemy.
The light rifle is kinda balanced and kinda not. The light rifle unscoped shoots slower than the DMR and the BR making it worse, but being scoped in is a 4 shot kill and not a 5 shot kill. I can see people quick scoping a shot for the extra damage and then probably only need 3 shots from the hip to clean up the kill making this weapon possibly the best (I am not shure if this works though) Now for the carbine it shoots very fast and takes 7 shots to kill someone, and it basically has the same functionality as the BR does.
Now for the automatic weapons. These weapons will be specifically for CQB and maybe medium range. In this gameplay it shows how powerful the assault rifle is compared to halo reach and even halo 3 — Gameplay of assault rifle . The storm rifle and supressor basically have the same kill times, but the storm rifle takes shields down faster, and the supressor takes down health faster.
what do you guys think of the primary weapon balance? do you guys think it could work out?
