Halo (1,2,2: anniversary,3,4) (for each version of the game have all of these playlists available)
Small team battle (2v2-4v4) : All game modes/ types randomized (king of the hill, CTF, snipers, juggernaut rockets, slayer etc. )
big team battle (5v5-8v8) : “”""" ^^^ (same as above)
Small team slayer MLG (2v2-4v4)
big team slayer MLG: (5v5-8v8)
CTF: (3v3 - 6v6)
King of The Hill: (4v4-6v6)
Free For All : (6-12 players)
The problem with this is too much variety and a lack of what the general population wants.
With this system you essentially spread the population so thin it causes long search times, poor ranking structure, and overall, it’s anti fun.
Why is there even MLG playlists when MLG dropped the franchise due to how poor the past 2 games have been. As for the rest of it, once again that’s just too many playlists and the team sizes make the game meh. I sure as hell don’t want 3v3 objective let alone 6v6.
On paper you would be offering a great selection, and it would be nice. But when you put the actual numbers into place, it wouldn’t work. At all. Sorry for being blunt, but it just wouldn’t.
If you want to share your ideas of matchmaking there’s a thread where 343i will be able to see what the community wants as player on the matchmaking here’s the link: Matchmaking playlists suggestions - 343 industries

MLG didn’t drop Halo… lol Do a little research before trying to sound smart.
MLG WANTED Halo 4 but Microsoft went with -Yoink!- gaming instead.
Also even though 343 has their own plans with Halo in e-sports, don’t be surprised if you see it make a comeback in MLG at some point.
What we need is a Ranked Section and Unranked section.
Ranked:
Team Slayer
Team Doubles
Team Objective
Swat
Rumble Pit
Championship Series
Unranked:
Social Slayer
Big Team
Multi Team
Halo 2A/3/4 Action Sack (Infection, Griff Ball, Rocket Race, etc)
Halo CE Mix
Halo 2 Classic Mix
Halo 3 Mix
Halo 4 Mix

WTF!!! This is a thread that you created after the existence of this specific thread. ??? Maybe you should move your thread into this one.

It does need to be simple to keep the search times down. CoD has 10x the amount of players online but only 10 or so playlists. The search times definitely reflect the success with the simplicity. I do think each game deserves its own team slayer playlist and probably MLG for Halo 2. After that??? Maybe an object team game and rumble pit for Halo 2?
Personally I am only concerned with Halo CE and would like to see an exclusive playlist for it, the voting in the Team Slayer lobbies help back up my case. But I do recognize Halo2s popularity so I would understand if Halo CE was only gifted one playlist.
WHy would you have individual playlist for all those objective types? Why would yuou force real halo fans to enfure Team Rockets? That is some uber casual BS that nobody shoudl have to endure unless they click and action sack playlist.
All Objective types belong in one playlist called…Team Objective.
And please do tell me where two of the top 5 fan favorite playlists are known as team Snipers and Team Doubles?
Oh oh oh and opne more thing. You do know this is Halo 2 Anniversary right? Meaning Halo 2 should probably have more playlists than the other games because Halo 2 is sort of the game that most people bought the collection for as proven by polls.

343 said halo 2 would be the same just as it was 10 years ago therefore they need to give halo 2 at least 5 playlists. Seriously to say that Halo 2 (The main game of the Collection) deserves only 3 playlists is laughable. Team Slayer, Rumble Pit, team Snipers, Team Doubles, and Hardcore is not too much to ask
All the other Halo games deserve no more than one list as this is not their time. This is H2A so it is halo 2’s time. Now I wouldn’t mind if halo CE had two lists just because it never had real online but 3 and 4 only one
