so in the forward unto dawn trailer right at the end, we hear
“may day, may day, forward unto dawn, immediate evac, 117” i just realised as it shows lasky when he’s older and working on the infinity that the infinity must find cortanas signal from the end of halo3, i dont know how i missed it really…
> Could be them trying to get off planet after the covenant attack as well…
yeah, but it would likely still be the same signal in the forward unto dawn, which brings me to another thing, wouldn’t that signal be blocked like guilty spark did in one of the CEA terminals to protect the location of the halo (yes i know this is a shield world, but that is even more reason to protects its location as it would have a living population)thus, i think they would pick it up while the dawn was still in space.

It seems likely that some sort of measure would be in place to try and keep requiem safe and hidden.
> Yet the question remains how did they get that message and why were they by Requiem to begin with? I call geas.
actually a very good theory there, i had not thought of that - could the didacts cryptum act like the posts in primordium and act as a centre to send out gea impulses, like there were in primordium?
Could be a plan set forth by the Librarian as well. Perhaps she is aware of her husbands state and feels the humans can help him when they get to a certain state? Though I still wonder why, or even if it is canon anymore, Mendicant Bias sent Chief to Requiem? More Librarian influence? Who knows.

well we know the librarian is still alive, so its highly possible, when was the end of primorduim set? i assume in the space between 3 and 4 but we dont know…
I noticed that in the trailer as well. The beacon was sent out long before Chief and Cortana drifted to Requiem. They’ve been drifting for a while, so I doubt Requiem would have blocked their transmission up until that point.
After that, it’s a simple bread crumb for Infinity to follow, I would suppose. Or perhaps they were never looking for Chief in the first place. They could have found out about Requiem through other means such as Chakas and just so happened to pick up the Dawn’s beacon on the way. If that Covenant-loyalist ship could find the Chief, then I guess Infinity could as well. A better question is what was the Covenant ship doing all the way out there? They had neither Chakas, nor a reason to search for Chief.

Chakas’ testimony to the UNSC takes place after the events of Halo 4.
It was leaked in the description for The Thursday War that the Servants of Abiding Truth found a Forerunner glyph or map that pointed toward Requiem.
idk where this theory of primordium taking place after the reclaimer trilogy comes from…is there a link? maybe after halo 4 but ive seen alot of posts that primordiums ending is a lead into the supposed “third trilogy” which i call bs
