Is it in the books? Halo Wars 2? What bridges the gap from the end of H5 to the opening cutscene of Infinite?

Takes place after H5 & ties in with Halo Wars 2. If you watch a Halo Wars 2 recap video which is about 10 mins, you can easily place where we are now.

As far as I know, Atriox & the banished are from Halo Wars 2 and we are in a ring that was created during/ after the events of Halo 3 but that is just my understanding- I could be totally wrong.
Its in shadows of reach, also I believe you find out through audio logs and dialogue in the story. Patience is key.

The Forerunner Saga books introduce Zeta Halo which was one of the original full size Halos but was damaged during the Forerunner/Flood war and reduced in size to that of the smaller Halos.
Halo Wars 2 introduces the Banished to the games and explains their origins and storyline.
There are a few books set between H5 and Infinite but, whilst good, don’t really bridge between the two games.

I’m fine with being patient, it is just strange to continue a story with a cliffhanger that was never set up.

But I guess first theres ghosts of onyx and grasslands then the troy denningsbbkue team books…
Oh and I guess point of light?
But you better read the forerunner saga and the 2 prior Kelly Gay books first

As soon as you play the game it will tell you but there’s a bigger issue, something even worse then the flood apparently
