So at the start i was just getting standard warthogs, mongooses, needlers and fuel rod cannons in my req packs.
Now i’m rank 43 and i’m getting next to none of them and i’m not getting named weapons that i’ve gotten the certs for and better things like snipers and rockets.
So my message to the haters about only getting crap stuff… Rank up. It all seems to get better the higher your Spartan Rank.

It’s because you can’t unlock the same items twice, so as you level up and buy more Silver/Gold packs you unlock more stuff and narrow down your chances of getting the Green/Blue items in packs.
Don’t know. I’m not exactly a massively high rank but I’m still getting rubbish like Suppressors and Mongoose variants.

This would only apply to the permanent items though. But all the one off use items like Supressers, mongooses etc and now barely appearing ever since i hit 40 and got an special commendation pack for reach that.
I’m still getting 2 permanent reqs for every silver i buy, and even buying some bronzes and getting rid of the rubbish permanent reqs which is going quite well. But basically, i’m getting really good weapons (1 off use cards) now and not getting many mongooses / suppressers / boltshots etc now.
I like how they did it and its not like you still can’t get good items at a lower level. Got rocket launcher variant dmr and scorpion before reaching rank 20.

Now I see what you’re saying, I tend to blow 10k on Bronze packs every now and again to build up my trash items, it’s annoying to see all that REQ go but it works. Wat did you get for 40? I got a sweet ODST emblem.

Suppressor a are op dude… Try them
It’s because you likely have certifications for those higher-tier items, which increase odds of getting those items (A certification can be identified by a blue ribbon in the corner of an item in your ‘REQ Collection’ pages.
Plus, you cannot get common items in gold packs, so that’s another thing. Since I only get golds, I haven’t got a mongoose in a while.
That RNG came from Destiny I swear.
Focus on buying Silver Packs only, it will take care of all Uncommon and Rare items. So that way, when you buy Gold Packs, you’re going to get Ultra Rare and Legendary items.

It is because of your certifications, that way they create a natural curve, it isn’t necessarily ranking up, you could be SR1 and buy 50 gold packs and be near where you are. It progresses naturally.
I think that while the req system works in a way for war zone. I found that halo 4’s approach towards cosmetics was handled much better as you had achievements that unlock some armours, milestone specializations for weapon skins and Spartan enhancements. I do hope that unlocking some awesome armour in future halos doesn’t come down to dropping a tone of credits on packs…basically the equivalent of people get a hold of rare trading cards since it requires roughly 500 hours by my estimates (playing nothing but warzone and wining) to get enough points for gold packs equal to the number of available armours and helmets. Definitely more if you’re going for all the assassinations, stances, weapon skins and upgrades for Loadouts etc.
My opinion make it so req packs is warzone weapons power ups and vehicles only.
As for armours make it Spartan Rank or Achievement based again so we at least have a say in what armours we’d want to unlock for our Characters. And let’s cut-out the secondary variants of each armour…unless it’s a detailed change and not an edit to how the colours go on the suit. That’s not a new armour, it’s something that should have been put into the customising menu for Spartan colours. that would have at least made gaining all the cosmetics a little easier.

I got the ODST EMBLEM too, maybe this is coded this way.
