I love warzone, I love playing warzone, and I love unlocking awesome guns and vehicles. What I do not love, however, is how it is pointless to req those guns or vehicles because chances are really good you just die thirty seconds out of the gate. I would say that happens 9/10 times. I am extremely careful when I pull vehicles and especially weapons, but it drives me nuts that even though I am taking great care I still die nearly instantly and I lose whatever I just pulled. Doesn’t matter where I was or who was around me. I have been in the furthest armory and some rando jackwad happens to be there and kills me from behind. I pull a warthog from home base, some rando ghost is back there seemingly for no real reason, he probably shouldn’t be. This happens all the time. I can only think of two instances where I actually had a good run with a sniper and about the same pulling a tank. I have pulled a tank a few times and I can’t even use it because I am literally swarmed by jumping Spartans that shoot my tank to oblivion with BATTLE RIFLES! What kind of standard issue rifle can penetrate tank armor? Just that idea alone is ludicrous. It makes warzone overall less enjoyable and that much more frustrating trying to use all these awesome reqs you get. I think they need to consider some serious issues with them and I believe it would make warzone incredibly more enjoyable to play. For instance remove damage to vehicles with small arms weapons, it just doesnt make sense that a squad a BR’s can destroy a heavily armored tank, make them work for it, make them pull something larger (rockets, sniper, plasma pistol) to get you, that would help immensely. Another thought would be to have a standard time on high req weapons, say for a full 40 seconds you have the gun of choice no matter how many times you die. After that you die again and you lose it, or you run out of ammo, just like it is now. These are just two simple ideas that would make warzone not only more enjoyable but make the requisition points and weapons useful.
I rarely have this problem. I think the flaw is in your execution or methods. Sorry
For weapons I guess you might have to initially spawn with just loadout items, and then make your way to a Req Station to grab whatever item safely.
It wouldn’t be so bad if the spawns in this game weren’t constantly trying to screw you…

Completely agree with you, to me this is why we need Pve.
Yeah if the vehicle is not the ultra or ONI version it’s made of cardboard and explodes as soon as an enemy spartan shoots a mean stare your way. Really discourages even bothering in calling in vehicles wasting cards and req points.

That would certainly give me a reason to use more of the weapons.

I agree. I almost exclusively use my loadout weapons until I really need a specific weapon like a plasma pistol to take down vehicle.
The small arms weapons destroying vehicles is ridiculous, it shouldn’t be happening. And if for some reason they can destroy vehicles easily, why don’t they do the same to Spartans?
It’s more irritating if something like you spawn a Spartan Laser because the other team have two tanks, you run out from your base and either get sniped instantly or some fluke grenade meant for someone else lands right at your feet. The weapon disappears almost instantly, so unless you spawn right there again AND no-one grabs it from either team AND you can make it back to the spot, then maybe you can grab it. But probably not. I had one of my team-mates walk in front of me as I was about to fire a railgun into a group of 3 enemies in a doorway. Not only did it kill me and rob me of those kill/s, he then took my gun. I wouldn’t mind the team-mates taking the gun since it’s in our team, but I spawned with another railgun quickly after and the game decided to put me right on the edge of the snowy bit outside the armoury or whatever. So I literally started, and plummeted to my death instantly, robbing me of ANOTHER railgun. :S

Gameplay =/= canon

Totally down with that!!!
“YES! Pulling out my needler!”
runs out door
sniped
“Sonova…”
I do have some of the same problems, but i do try and time it right for the spawn or wait till i am near a req station to pull
It is silly you can destroy heavy armour with battle rifles. Removing this ability would force more REQ spawn usage as you’d have to get something to kill the vehcile.
I don`t have this issue because I A: Spawn at a rear armory or B: Have a fireteam member call out safe bases and rally up with me once I spawn.

Sounds like a personal issue with you choosing your spawn location. There has been a few times when I’ll spawn at one base and end up almost at the other base and one time i spawned a vehicle and the loading ramp thing glitched and I just fell through the map but besides that it’s just learning how to play with each vehicle. If you have a tank sit in the back and pick people off, don’t even let them come near you. Just gotta learn how to play each weapon and vehicle.
sounds like youre a fairly inexperienced player. with a lot more practice you shouldnt be having the same issues

The non damage from standard small arms weapons actually makes sense. And it does force the other team to use REQs not just sit back and unload base weapons while your depleting resources. I have too admit I am with you on the absurdity involving spawning in high level REQs, I’ll be placed right in front of some heavily artillery, spawned in front of a boss or some random location which only applies when I use all of my req power. I have a feeling the amount of req power and your spawn location are related and I wouldn’t put it past this shady studio to implement something which was never discussed.
The moment when the enemy has a wasp and you have a wraith…
BOOST TO HOME BASE!
