How should H6 be structured?

i think that H6 should still have Warzone, but I think the big “divide” in the MP should be Modern and Classic Arena… WZ could just be a sub-playlist or classified under BTB and utilize dev made BTB maps.

That way, everyone can finally be happy… A lot of big franchises are returning to their roots, but I think 343 is really on to something great with modern Halo and I’d hate to see them drop all the work they’ve done on H5’s gameplay.

They just need to put together a well-designed package of maps and modes next time around, that can be cross-utilized in Classic and Modern settings… maybe have some exclusive maps to each Arena module, but I’d love to see a return of both styles of gameplay, not just for myself but mainly the community.

Content quality would not have to suffer if resources were just managed correctly. Lay off the cosmetics/port a lighter load from H5, and focus on creating maps and MM systems that are BANG-ON!

Regular Warzone? Nah, I don’t want it (I even have a post explaining why) Warzone firefight? Yeah, sure. Modern and Classic arena? Won’t work, Favyn has explained that but in a nutshell, it just won’t work. There’ll be huge gameplay differences and no one is gonna want to pay 60 dollars for just one mode, no, people wan’t all of it, and plus the maps have to be properly structured for the gameplay.

Part of the issue with this idea is it would split the player base, and both modes would have a harder time getting games going. Think about it. Halo had a huge player base, then some people got mad and left, and now some of those who left, and a small portion of those who remain want 343 to split the player base between different modes, even though they’re already at a lower player-base because of the people who want them to split it.

Except you will still have a few million that will buy the game…

You have to get the game right at launch to better retain those initial players… something that H4 and H5 failed to do for different reasons.

You’re forgetting one thing, Halo sells…

The number of people who continue to play Halo isn’t a single-issue topic, not for any issue. 343 could make the best game of the decade, and their player base will still be sharing their time with a half-dozen other games, work, school, and non-game hobbies. When making the next game, you have to work with the player base you have. If the number of ongoing players is already lower than the comfort level, you don’t try to grow it but cutting it in half. Now if Halo 6 somehow doubled their fan-base, and there was a significant call from players for a “Classic Halo Playlist” in multiplayer, then they’d have a good reason to create that mode.

More req packs so I can do another opening video for my channel.
