1. If you quit more than 3 matches in a 24 hour time frame, then it should be a 24 hour suspension. (This is specifically leaving the game. I’m not talking about lagging out or other connection issues).
You should also get a message on your screen during this time telling you why the ban has been given, and an online message from 343 advising why we can’t tolerate consistent quitting. Hopefully this should be enough for most people to not do it again.
2. If you do it a second time within a week of your last suspension, it should be a further 48 hour suspension.
If it’s at a later time than a week since your last suspension, then it will just be another 24 hour suspension, and you start the cycle again.
3. If you do it again within a week of your 48 hour suspension, then it should be a month ban from matchmaking.
You’ve been warned twice and already spent 72 hours away from the game to think. You’re showing no signs of improvement, so hopefully this month ban will either keep you away from the game altogether or you’ll rethink your ways and come back a better person later on.
I’m getting sick of quitters ruining a game. IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT WINNING GUYS!. JUST TRY!
We really need to start handing out more severe punishments for quitters.

I highly doubt most people in that position will get up and turn off their modem and restart their internet connection every time.
Untill they fix the post update server error not severe! I went from tier 6 to 2 and a ban on my way there. From being kicked out of my match.
EDIT: apparently I can’t read lol sorry about that. Can they actually make such exception? Ignorant question cause I don’t know how all that stuff works.

I agree with this more. But 1st quit should be a freebie. Freebie resets every hour.

I haven’t had the issue either which means it’s not the game itself. They should take their ban time and figure out what’s causing the crashes.

Do you see the issue of this? If they can’t get back on the game to test it, how will they know if the issue is fixed?
I’m curious, did you get a hard copy or digital download?
People should fix their attitude problems. It’s just a game. It means nothing. Life doesn’t end if someone quits or gets disconnected for whatever reason.

I paid 60 bucks for this game, so I decide when i quit or not. 48 h ban… you gotta be kidding me. If this BS ever comes to halo, the game is dead 2 weeks after launch. quitters exist and it is legit as long as you dont exploit it for boosting like in h3. instaed of working on ban methods, 343 should fix the REASONS for people quitting. Give us games with <50 ms ping and match people according their real skill. If they manage to adress these 2 probelms, 90% of the quitters will be gone. But its 343 style… treat the symptoms, dont fix the cause.
why not be fair and place habitual quitters only in matches with other quitters? They would still be able to play and would not be able to affect the general population that doesnt quit.
there needs to be a ban of some sort i stopped playing with friends on halo they quit all the time and dont get banned so stupid wants the point of having a game if the fun part of it is in the lobby game is rubbish cant win a game with every player quitting on me and when they opp team quit ruins the fun aswell so sort it out useless people.

You do realise that when you quit, it’s not just a decision that effects you? So you’re saying that because you pay 60 bucks that you should be able to quit whenever you want, whether it ruins the game for others or not?

It’s not just about rank though. Everyone wants to play a fun game, and it’s not as fun if people keep on quitting when things aren’t going there way!!!
Yes, it’s a casual game, but it’s not much of a game if people quit and the game loses it’s edge, is it?
