Slayer should be about kills, but it is not.
A recent game shows me scoring under three teammates that had less or equal kills than I and all had more deaths than kills.
So I go 12 and 6, yet the guy that goes 12 and 22 is ranked higher? The guy that goes 9 and 17 ranked higher?
Ouch!
And BTB sucks as just Slayer anyway.
Slayer should be about winning not getting score.

If you’re worried about that and not your K/D in a Slayer associated gametype then you need to stop looking at the ranks. K/D exists to show everyone you clearly did better. If this game was completely point based, then I don’t think 343i would even bother showing you your K/D.

Yeah, don’t worry too much about who got top and such. As long as you’re improving, you be happy.
I don’t understand your argument.
Yes, everybody receives “points”, but only points received for kills go to the score. So it’s not like the players above you gave more points to the total score.
Also, why are you worried about the ranking 1-4 or 1-8 on a specific team? That means nothing. If you went 12-6 and they all went negative, you should understand you are better than them.
The reason they have points is to encourage teamwork. If you get more points, you were doing more things that were productive to help your team out. A lot of kills that people get are because someone else is shooting the same person and helping weaken them. That other person should get credit for being a good team player.
Who cares about where you place on the “scoreboard”. The team still needs 60 kills to win.
Regicide is broken because you can have less kills, go horribly negative and still win.
Points make it more team oriented, rewarding that person/people who usally get assists. And if you did go postive what does it matter what place you rank… unless your competeing with your friends who’s team mvp, lolz
