Simple Question:
On a scale from 1 to 7 how satisfied are you with the level of post launch support 343 has given The Master Chief Collection?
Discuss.
Anyone who puts satisfied well… You just love cable company’s like Time warner or Comcast
Is 0 an option?
I’d say somewhat satisfied. They are doing what they can and are still fixing it but it could have been better.
I guess I am somewhat satisfied. Sure they aren’t getting the game fixed as fast as most would like but this was one yoinked up game. But at least they have given a month of gold, Spartan Ops and odst campaign and another remastered map is on the way. Sure I would have rather had Reach campaign and firefight added but whatever at least they are giving something besides a shoulder shrug and a promise to fix it. Also yeah I wish they would have been able to fix this game faster but the last update made massive improvements so hopefully this next one does just as good. My biggest disappointment so far is the player counts not being the same … 10 player rumble pit what trash.
Honestly unless you bought the game solely for the Campaign and not multiplayer I don’t see how anyone could be satisfied with their level of support. 5 months later and things that should have been available at launch are still nowhere to be seen. Their communication has been extremely terrible and the time between each update is increasing and my guess is that they will likely drop all support for the MCC once Halo 5 comes out.
They are still doing major updates 5 months in, which is great.
but it’s still isn’t done up to the standard we were promised even after all this time and all these updates.
You either have to admit the game was;
- So unready to launch that it would be impossible not to notice and by launching it as it was 343i and MS royally screwed us and was happy to do so.
or
- Not really worked on that much in this post release support and the updates have been bare minimum effort jobs.
Option 3 is you’re in complete denial of events and the level b*tt f**kery that went on.
It’s good that they’re still trying to fix it, but the fact is that 6 months later, we still have yet to be where this game should have been at launch and no amount of compensation will change that.

I love cable companies!
For those who complain so much just get bugged af and play the game. Makes for a interesting experience eh?
somewhat dissatisfied. They have made progress toward fixing the game, but there is still plenty of progress to be made, and I’m disappointed in the time it took to make the amount of progress they have. Their communication with regards to fixing the game however… I can only describe as abysmal.
I’m just waiting for the haters to show up, lol.

What about Cox? ( watch the whole video, it’s only 3 min, and I haven’t figured out how to pause it at a particular time and then link it.)

Anyone who votes 5-7 is a shill, fanboy, or plain ole sucker.
How can any realistic fan be satisfied in any way with what is easily a top 5 worst launch of a game ever? To top it off 343’s lack of communication and lackluster updates leave absolutely no room for satisfaction.
What is this support you speak of?
I’ve still got a laundry list of issues I consider game-breaking that suck all long-term enjoyment out of playing Matchmaking in this game. I guess I appreciate their efforts, but it’s hard to say I feel satisfied when they’ve made such little actual progress with this game and continue to bite their tongue when it comes to communicating with us. Leaving us in the dark for two weeks or more is unacceptable, especially when they talk about their next game in the meantime. It’s hilarious; almost all of their efforts so far have gone into repairing the Matchmaking infrastructure of this game (i.e. player matching, connectivity to servers, stat-tracking, etc) and so have barely touched the actual content of the games since launch (things like hit registration, placement of power pick-ups on Halo: Combat Evolved maps, the reversed Halo 3 surround audio, etc). Not even to mention that the infrastructure they’re slowly chipping away at remains severely flawed.
Sorry, if the game had launched in its current state, I would still have been outraged. To be honest, if they managed to get it to its current state within a month after its launch as it happened on November 11, instead of five months, I would be more encouraged with their progress at that point. At this point, however, I see maybe a patch or two in our future before E3. It’s hard to say just what the “May patch” might address, if we get one, but I highly doubt they’re going to start to get into fixing the actual content in the games if they can’t fix up its infrastructure completely. And who knows if we’ll get any more support for this game after E3? It’s really hard to say, as the studio will surely be all in on Halo 5: Guardians for the rest of the summer. In short: I’m not only pessimistic at this point that we’ll ever get some of our pre-launch big asks, such as fully customizable armor, Halo 2: Anniversary DLC, etc, but I’m also pessimistic as to whether we’ll even get simple things like playlist optimization going forward. They’re just not moving fast enough here. I’m extremely dissatisfied that they haven’t shown much prerogative or responsibility on this. They can talk all they want about literally rushing around to fix stuff behind the scenes, but I really do find it hard to believe that they’ve been doing that for the last five months without meaningful results. And they refuse to tell us whether or not they’ve stopped their “rushing around to fix things” and just assumed a moderate pace. In fact, we don’t really know anything about how this game will look three or four months down the line. They’ve told us time and again that they’re committed to delivering, but they’ve given us a total of one patch that did anything meaningful.

all cable companys do crap costumer service. 343 currently is just as good as a cable company… bungie never did this

I’m honestly not sure I’d call any of their updates to this game since launch “major”. They’ve all seemed relatively vague, with short patch note lists, and even quite a few things on the lists that refused to stay fixed. Bungie actually just released for Destiny what I would call a “major” patch. Go take a look at those patch notes. Now that’s what I’m talking about! In-depth fixes across all game modes, stability fixes, minor-but-detail-oriented weapon balance fixes, a major rework to how ammo flow works in the Crucible, mechanic-specific fixes to certain boss battles in both Raids and Strikes, UI support for increased storage space and the ability to “lock” item slots (both huge community asks), and even pointless little fixes that allow Guardians to wear their helmet while in social spaces. They even added new functionality to the purple ball that’s sometimes floating around in the Tower. It’s seriously an embarrassment of riches in that patch. That is the kind of support 343 Industries needs to provide. They need to give both broad fixes that are actually effective and smaller, balance- and mechanic-oriented fixes. Since all of their patches to date to mainly focus around a single patch note - “Improve matchmaking stability” - and they are still, to this day, unable to nail down the exact line they want to tow between “improve” and “repair”, I really don’t want to call any of their progress “major”, especially in the face what Bungie and other developers have done.

Agreed, I mean they could have just left it as it was at launch, but the fact they want to fix their mistakes is admirable even if it is a slow process.

97% profit margins are to little they need 99% because 97% is just to small for them how dare I desire not to get -Yoinking!- ripped off.
Only real men get -Yoinked!- in the -Yoink- and then defend the attackers.
Clearly…
