How’s this for a crazy idea for some hype....

So, halo infinite is a LONG way’s off, and there dosen’t Seem to be much to tide us over gamewise until then, so how about this to keep the halo hype train going:

The MC and halo 5 are fairly old games at this point, and probably don’t make THAT much money these days on their own, despite being fantastic. Old enough to be games for gold. So let’s milk it for all it’s worth to build up for hype and goodwill aamong the masses. At E3 2019, at the end of the big Halo infinite announcement probenly coming, Have 343 announce that For all of July and August that ALL the xbox one halo titles be made Free games for gold! Put them in chronological order, halo wars, then the master chief collection, then halo 5 and then Halo wars 2, so that EVRYONE has time to catch up with the story firsthand over the next few months. It would be an act of UNPRECIDENTED good will, and DLC cash would soar for them, And I can’t think of a better way to give back to the fans and Hype up infinite. It would boost halo’s population Tremendously, and the forge modes would keep those games alive even longer. So that’s a fantastic deal for games that would best be free at this point anyway, and fans stay caught up and jumping in place for infinite.

hmm doesn’t sound like a bad idea to me

sounds alright to me. they wouldn’t lose any money considering they’re now considered old and are relatively cheap. most halo fans probably have all those games or will have them by the time that comes but it would open up the doors to plenty of newer players that’ll get swept up by the hype for the next game. while this is going on maybe have some limited time req packs and special events on h5 and hw2 to get players who already have it on and mix us in with the new guys, that’ll help the population.

Idk, they still make some money off the games with Game Pass and such.

Exactly: most of the people who would have bought these games already have, so lower the bar for EVERYONE to pile in on the halo hype train. This would be the single most generous deal a franchise can possibly make from a business perspective, while still making money. Whatever revenue is lost from these old games would be tripled by the millions of new players hooked by the old games, just waiting to see how the story continues. And to give away the Entire main series, no strings attached would be an unprecedented work of goodwill in the video game industry these days, so if halo infinite generates record sales due to this, imagine these sorts of giveaways as a permanent industry trend. Course it might get a tad hectic if say, Call of Duty tried this sort of stunt.Imagine how many months it would take to fully go through their entire series, one yearly release after the next, divided up in two games a month. Headline worthy, sure, but a tad much. With the master chief collection conveniently bundling so much together, it just makes sense.

That’d be really cool. I feel like most people who wanted those games have got them already so this would be good for the franchise and give Microsoft some good rep.

Anyone notice how apex legends not only overtook the world for a moment with zero advertising before release, but also help revitalize the titanfall name and existing games a bit? We here at halo can do that and More, and all we need do is simply make some of the older games free. Halo 5 would probably the best idea: some of the better multiplayer around, it’s the latest halo game, they’ve been updating the Piss out of the collection, so that’s probably too new again to work with. Then we have the REQ packs, which can generate Far FAR more revenue then lost by making the game free, especially if this deal is announced at E3 immediately after halo infinite’s first gameplay. All through sheer volume of new players flooding in. AND we have the ultimate rendition of forge thus far, with custom browsers making it easy to zero in on games.

it would be a fantastic deal on both ends, A Free game meatier then most at that price tag to tide players over, while 343 gets added revenue and advertising for a rare act of goodwill in the industry. What’s to lose?
