How On Earth Do I Get The New Achievements?

These new achievements 343 has added suck completely.
I have all 70/70 of the achievements before they added more, but the ones they added are glitchy as hell and the descriptors for them don’t even accurately tell you what you have to do.

How on Earth are you supposed to get them?

I have beat down at least 20 guys in mid air with the jetpack, including assasinating guys but I haven’t got that achievement. Am I supposed to do it on an anniversarymap? If so thats really stupid because there are no jetpacks in the anniversary playlist.

Same thing with the paper beats rock, I have assassinated like 5 guys coming out of armor lock.
What on earth is with these crappy achievements?
I hope halo 4 isn’t like this crap.

first off…there aren’t even 70 achievements now, there were 59 before they added more, and I was having trouble with the achievements as well BUT I found out you have to do them on specific maps, IE if it says Defiant: blah blah blah, you have to do it on a defiant map, if it says Anniversary: blah blah blah then you have to do it on an anniversary map…yes it’s dumb, but I hope this helps :slight_smile:

Just to clarify, the following achievements, although state they have to be done on Noble or Defiant maps, don’t:

Offensive Driver
Cross-Mappin’
Both Barrels
Poppin’ & Lockin’
Totally Worth IT

The rest have to be done on what maps & gametypes they are stated for.

so it just comes down to dumb luck and getting the right map?
thats… really stupid, this is why people boost these achievements.
I don’t want to boost them but wow, what do they expect…

I find it difficult to get a dlc map to vote for, even when partied with my dlc loving friends. I was lucky enough to hit one yesterday during living dead and get an achievement, my friend however couldn’t infect three in a round.

The last two achievements I need for REACH are the two “1-Flag CTF” match ones included with the Anniversary maps.

When I do manage to get a 1-Flag CTF on a Defiant map, there are far too many people to stave them off from grabbing our team’s flag. If anyone ever picks 1-Flag CTF on an Anniversary map, I can never locate, grab, and return with a plasma grenade fast enough to stick them with it. It’s become rather annoying…

I have had the same issues with the AA to. There should be better way to get them. But they are feats, so they should be hard.

change your gamertag to reyaweks.

also your shots wont miss and you will get a perfection every match. even in objective.

I was just wondering this, these achievements are very poorly designed as the main difficulty is actually getting in a relevant game.

Is it even possible to get an infection game on a defiant map anymore?

The map specific ones are difficult in the sense that you may not get a map-specific+game type game that will qualify you for achievements.

The best way to go about this is to set up a group that can play together and vote in the maps+game types everyone needs.

The Anniversary ones are much easier than the new Defiant ones.
Whenever a Defiant map comes up, on the rare occasion that it does, everyone vetoes it and votes for ARs on Countdown or a default map.

I need all 9 new ones, some of them should be easy to get in one or two games as long as we get the right maps

also what would you guys say is the best playlist to use to get most of these achievements?

Squad DLC and Anniversary FFA would probably be the best bet. I’ve sent you a request and i’ll be on my xbox here shortly.

everyone in the aniversary playlists always votes for aniversary slayer, its impossible to get armor abilities

I don’t really care about achievements.If they come they come and if they don’t they don’t. One day I’ll probably try and get them.

we have 4 people right now if anyone wants to join and try to get some achievements while playing

I don’t even know how many achievements I have, but I’ve got 3 recently without trying, 2 in firefight (the points ones) in a custom game mode when I wasn’t even aware there were achievements for them (I’d’ve far rather earned them legit) and then Cross Mappin I got on Spire also without knowing there was an achievement for it (but was earned in matchmaking).

So, my best advice, hope you get lucky is all I can say. Good luck getting them anyway.
