Iwon all games besides 2, & had most kills in every game, besides 1, where I was tied with the top player, &I still got silver 6.on my other account I lost 5 games and played horrible and still got gold 3??? How does that even happen? Does your Spartan Rank matter? Please answer this question. This is the third time I got ranked silver, even though I played really good. My other account is Thechosenpanman in case you want to see how I played.
Your ranking is based relative to the competition you faced. So if you won all those games but were playing Bronze and Silver level competition, it would place you at the higher end of that spectrum.
The ranking used to match you in game is persistent across seasons and is slower to adjust. If you keep winning, you’ll eventually start moving up the ranks and get matched with tougher competition. Because most previous seasons you’ve had win% around 50 and a K/D around 1.0 for silver rankings, that’s probably a fair place for you. If you keep the pace you have in this season, you’ll see your rank go up and your competition will get tougher.
Majority of the people I played against were unranked

At the time you played them, yes. But their matchmaking rank, which persists even after the seasons reset, placed them in that same Bronze/Silver ranking through previous seasons.
ahh. so since I sucked at halo when I started, the consequence of that is still taking affect? While the other account being new has no record?
