I need to know how old this version of halo infinite was it a couple months or almost a year old it would be great if 343 could give us an answer and hoping that they could improve the textures in the 4 months they have left to work on it. It’s mind boggling that this game cost 500 million to make and it looks the way it does
I don’t know if 343 will state exactly how old the build is, it’s not really needed for them to release that kind of internal information. The build is likely 2 or 3 months old - a build would have been branched off maybe a month or 2 before E3 and prepped for the showcase, while the main build gets continued to be worked on. They definitely will be improving what they have been working on up until it’s ready to be certified gold and ready to release

Getting a build ready for something like E3 is always prepped in advance. It’s not feasible to take a build from a few days before a big event as builds get broken on a near daily basis (cite:me - as a developer myself I can fully confirm this is a thing that happens). The 500 million budget is nothing more than a rumour, I wouldn’t put any faith in it being true.
