how old is cheif?

how old is master cheif in halo 4? not counting the time he was in cryo.

In 2556, (Possible time that Halo 4 will take place) he’s 45 years old in Earth years. But in Halo 3 he is 41.

Halopedia profile on Master Chief for reference on age

this is a very tricky question.
Cryo does screw with one’s age
Physically he is in his 30s I believe.
Mentally, he is around his 30s 40s.
But in real time, he is most likely close to his 60s.

chronologically in Halo 3 he is 41

thanks he is getting older being a sparten im sure it helps a ton but maybe age might be a factor sometime neer the end of the trilogy

I’m pretty sure he’s in his Early 40’s…

> thanks he is getting older being a sparten im sure it helps a ton but maybe age might be a factor sometime neer the end of the trilogy

Hopefully not as sever as age was in MGS4

The 40’s would be a pretty seasoned, yet aging time for a soldier or Marine in modern times. But in the 26th century, with the advancements in medical science, living conditions, etc., 40 is pretty young.

Sergeant Major Avery Johnson was born in the 2470’s, enlisted in the Marine Corps, and volunteered for the ORION Project (also known as the SPARTAN-I’s) in the early 90’s. By the time the Covenant Empire was starting to crumble, he would have easily been in his late 70’s to early 80’s. And he was still kicking it with the best and brightest young men and women in the 'Corps.

Not to mention the Commander-in-Chief, Naval Intelligence is over 90’s year old…

Yeah, John’s still pretty much a wittle baby boy. :stuck_out_tongue:

wow thats old for a soldier to keep fighting for that long as a kid. but then again with all the drugs they shot him with.

he is about 40 - 43 years old but he is younger than that due to time spent in cyro sleep

John’s age is affected by the same ambiguities as all beings who undergo extended voyages through space. By technical human Earth years, John is approximately 41 years old in 2552, and 45 years old in 2556. However, during the 27 Earth years that he has spent fighting the Covenant, considerable time was spent in Slipspace. The aging process is slowed in slipspace by deep sleep in cryo-chambers; in which cellular aging can be halted almost completely. Also, one could expect that individuals participating in slipspace travel might be subject to the timedilation associated with travel at relativistic speeds, so there could be more discrepancy involved there as well.

You should thank Wikipedia for that.

Snake technically wasn’t that old. He just had genetic break down A) because he was a clone B) because he had FoxDie in him.

LOL yeah I know but one of FoxDie’s symptoms was rapid aging. I just meant age affecting Chief won’t be as severe as how it affected Snake
