I don’t think there’s necessarily an age “floor” - but obviously as Halo games are rated mostly T through M all depending what they are, so personally I would say a minimum age range of 10-13 especially as the Halo Wars RTS series is better for a younger audience.
If you’re in that age range, you should probably ask your parents to see what they think. If you’re asking for your kids, I’d advise you to consult this website for the games involved (commonsensemedia.org) as they usually have a solid outlook.
As far as Waypoint goes - it’s well moderated and has word filters for inappropriate content, so I would say it’s possibly even safer than the games.
Accounts here are automatically hooked into your Microsoft / Xbox Live Account, which I don’t believe there are any age restrictions on.
If your account / age is under 18 years old, you won’t be able to use certain features of the site for privacy and data protection reasons. These include:
- Inbox - private messages - Spartan Companies (as they require the use of the Inbox feature) - The Halo Insider program
There isn’t really an age limit. However, the younger you are can severely limit all the things you can do.
I would recommend dropping into Waypoint when you’re a late teen. Or early teen, depending on how mature you are.
