Quite often, great for knocking out shields so my teammates can quickly sweap in with headshots while their shields are down.
Great against people using the over shield too. Nothing feels better by completely denying an enemy any real use out of that tool lol.
It’s a solid support weapon and shield -Yoink!- though when start getting better at playing the game and understanding how it functions.
Rarely lol i think its rediculous that it doesnt emp, quite a dumb move from 343 no cap, and their isnt even a noob combo medal in Halo infinite either

I use it on occasion. It’s not the most reliable weapon in the world, but when it works it works.
I’d still take it over a Pulse Carbine any day, but the Ravager has become my preferred shield-stripping option because it’s so reliable in comparison.
I can say I’d always rather have a Sidekick and a Plasma Pistol than a Sidekick and an AR.

There is no point in using it so i never pick it up.
The homing is terrible and can be easily dodged, it no longer have any AOE, it has low damage
and you cant EMP vehicles anymore. The only reason why its still viable to some extend in a competitive theater is when taking down overshield (that’s if you are able to hit the target with it).
If they could make the overcharged plasma bolt deal some sort of burning or melting damage over time to vehicles it would become much more enjoyable than it currently is.
There’s really only two cases where I pick up the PP:
It’s always there, too. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at the PP weapon pad and thought, “Well crap, someone got to it first”
I think ive used it maybe twice.
3 Situations and their results:
An enemy just activated OV (typically ends poorly for me)
Trying to troll someone with a n00b combo (typically ends poorly for me)
Playing Fiesta and get a bad roll (typically ends poorly for me)
I use it as much as possible, intentionally…because people cant handle it apparently.
I use it amytime I pass it by tbh. Its ROF is fast enough to where I feel it’s useful if I get the drop on someone, or I charge it up for the same effect if I’m able to and at a good range for it to get that semi lock on. I grab any weapon as a secondary in ranked. The most inconsistent weapon for me has been the needler so far.
Lots of times I feel I should have gotten a kill with the needler or traded, but I think in this game your (would have been damage) to the enemy is nullified if you die before the projectiles, grenades, or rockets connect. This I believe is what causes rockets shot out to dissappear, grenades to not explode, and no 4 shot trade at times because the opponent has a slight server advantage. That’s what I think though. Can’t say with 100% certainty that’s exactly what is happening, or if thats what desync is etc etc but…I can only say these things do happen. So my hailstorm of needles never explode at times. Makes me not want to pick the dang thing up but…its also killed many enemies. Hence…me saying its inconsistent.
I can grab a commando and say I’M inconsistent with it. I don’t feel I’m inconsistent with the needler though. I feel that it’s server side stuff going on. I grab plasma pistol more than needler I believe.
I mean, I tried to use it, but it just sucks.

never. Its not worth the risk of missing the plasma shot. I d rather be doing consistent damage with my overpowered low skill high reward assault rifle
I use it maybe .5% of the time. It’s total garbage!!! Just like most of the weapons in infinite. A lot of weapons need major overhauls!!
