So I still haven’t bought any of the map packs, and yesterdays bulletin said that there will be a DLC sale on friday. So map pack owners, how often do you get to play some DLC maps in matchmaking in non-dlc playlists? I’m asking this because when I bought the map packs for Reach the Noble and Defiant maps were extremely rare to see in matchmaking, and even CEA:s BTB maps were basically gone with the Anniversary BTB playlist.
Very very rare, because it depends on the others in the lobby, if they even show up. If only ONE doesn’t have the map-pack, no map of it will show up.
Out of Crimson, I played Harvest once outside of it’s specific playlist. For Majestic and Castle, I have never played them outside of their respective playlists.
I feel like crimson showed up for a while, but recently I haven’t see it.
Majestic still shows up occasionally.
I haven’t really played any playlists besides the DLC playlist that castle would be in except for the dedicated playlist.
my hope is that they add DLC requirements to some playlists, or make a dedicated 5v5 playlist that has only and all the DLC maps.

If the population was larger, I’d be calling for 343 to make some playlists DLC exclusive.
I’ve played once on Skyline (Infinity Slayer) since Majestic dropped. so I’d say it’s pretty rare and even on that occasion the lag was borderline playable. Then again if you like Big Team more people might have the Crimson/Castle maps so it might be a viable purchase.
Not nearly enough. Hardly ever to be honest. Really disappointed cause the majestic maps are special. Here’s hoping the sale helps that.

on a scale of Common, uncommon, rare, and ultra rare I see them between uncommon and rare.
I wish they would appear more.
Reach was ultra rare and Halo 3 it was uncommon.
Strongly considering getting the pass this weekend. Hope I can atleast see the maps enough to get some achievements.
Maybe they’ll be kind enough to give us a general DLC playlist whenever the castle one needs replacing.
It’s on sale for 1600 on friday I think, so I’d go for it!

Majestic does not show up ever. At all. I’ve never once seen it outside of it’s playlist while it was up, Crimson on the other hand is up very often in Big team, I played shatter like 6 times in a row yesterday, in different lobbies. In fact I’d say I played more Crimson last night than normal maps, the matchmaking system probably has an easier time matching DLC owners up in Big team due to it’s high population. Castle DLC playlist is still up right now so I’d play it while it’s still around, however don’t get your hopes up to play Majestic at all anytime soon unless they put up a DLC playlist or something once castle runs it course.
I think we should encourage you to buy the map packs like a lot of people should (if you play Halo 4). The maps are better and if more people have them, the more they’ll show up, which is what I want.
I would suggest buy them, so that we are given yet more chance of them showing up. I will hopefully one day see them release a DLC playlist that contains all maps available, even good forge maps so we can fully have variety.
