Just curious, if the option was available, how much would you pay for a full seasons worth of armour? A season is going to be 3 months if this helps. You can either give a flat amount or a range, up to you. So what you pay, you’d get everything that comes out for those 3 months, whether that be a pass, or just straight up unlocked. I know we’d all like them to be free but let’s at least try and work with this free to play model and try and find ways to make us happy. Or, what about a year pass?
10k Microsoft reward points.
Season - $20
Year - $60 (25% off)
I do like the idea of using the Microsoft rewards. Actually makes them useful.
Nil zero zilch. My time and effort should be enough to unlock armour. Like it used to be. I understand f2p means insert profanity here monetisation practices but putting in old armours from previous games at a massive mark up is just ludicrous. I seriously expect to see they hyabusa armour for sale at some point for a ridiculous price.
Hyabusa won’t be in as it’s Team Ninja. But something has to be paid for with this F2P method, got any suggestions? I’m trying to find ways to work with what 343 wants.
My issue with monetisation is the ludicrous pricing of items. How is 1 armour colour a random bit of armour and a charm worth $20?? They want to go down the f2p road their is nothing any of us can do about that. But we can stop them thinking we’re just here to be milked like good little cattle.
If cost of items was more appropriate ie a $1 for a single piece of armour $2~3 for a colour (that could be used on all armours) and $5 for a full set of armour I don’t think people would care as much as they do now. It’s shear greed and arrogance to think it’s acceptable to charge a third of a full AAA game for for 1 piece of armour a colour and trinket.
That’s my opinion but I doubt any company will ever put in monetisation at realistic pricing.
Spartan voice packs(want noble six or ripa moramee, $3). I’d also say skins would be permissible(I don’t mean Color’s and armour coatings). Some armour could be monetized like the yoroi non-canon stuff(previous stuff like the mk. IV and VI core should be earnable for example) but not at the current prices.
On the side, forge bundles will probably be monetized I’m betting when it comes.
BattlePass is $10, and obviously the store would have far more available after 3 months then what the Battlepass would offer. I think $20-30 is reasonable. The reason I wouldn’t recommend it is that you’d have a lot of days with armor/cosmetics you are uninterested in so probably wouldn’t be worth it.
it is common (from a business perspective) to charge really high prices for items, see what sells and what doesn’t, and if for example a certain cosmetic bundle only sells like a fraction of what the others sell then just discount later on.
You could also argue that lowering the price on an item just devalues it subconsciously, so you wouldn’t feel as special using it.
Understand I’m saying all of this as someone who also thinks the prices are insane, my solution is to just not buy it. I think Battlepass is good value (lots of cosmetics for $10) but those bundles are just junk and they’d have to sweaten the deal some more to get my monies.
$60 in a full packaged game.
In a free to play game, $0-$2 dollars depending on how awesome it is.
What is really grinding my gears is the fact that we cannot earn in game currency to purchase stuff.
Everyone complained about loot boxes because you couldn’t pick what you got, but hell we sure got a lot of them in Halo 5, (and a lot of other games that are free to play and have premium in game currency) and we got a lot of premium in game currency to purchase stuff.
NO I am not saying go back to loot boxes, but I am saying that in free to play without being able to earn premium in game premium currency through game play, you are going to have to try REALLY FREAKING HARD to get me to spend any money let alone a few dollars.
$40 for at least 25 armor sets and other items.

$0.00… none of its worth a damn cent
Premium Pass Price is fine. Reduce cash shop items by a decent amount and allow individuals to purchase individual pieces even if it means increasing their cost by say 15% individually. Bundle should be about cost saving not cost gatekeeping.
If they decide to do a year pass where you get all seasons generally it’s at a reduced price as you’re committing blindly. 75 dollars total and it comes with 10 dollars worth of store credit.
They should also allow users who are maxed out on passes to continue to level and after x amount of levels earn a random cosmetic item. This would mitigate some of the “financially restricted” long term players stress about being “unable to earn x double digit percent of items in the game.”
So which keeping it F2P, how do you suppose they fund the game?
Maybe use the money they got for charging full price for the campaign, even though it’s lacking all the features a halo usually has
. They could maybe even tap into the billions of profits Microsoft makes
. I’m sure it they can afford it it’s not like 343 is an indie developer struggling to make ends meet:man_shrugging:.
Not exactly the best business move. You make something at a lost to further down the line make a profit, think the Series X console, whereas Halo Infinite us a dead end so it needs to make a profit. And what they make from the campaign probably pays for what they paid to make it if even that since most will be playing on Game Pass. At the end of the day the customer has to pay for something for the free multiplayer to be viable.
Lol it’s helping sell gamepass don’t give me that rubbish.
Not a single penny. I’m not willing to pay for these things and even if I’m given no avenue to obtain any cosmetics
I will proudly rock the default look as I do the lipton dip on the fools who actually buy cosmetics
