Hey, if there are people that want to spend their cash on req packs- more power to them. If 343 can make money like that, while giving us free map packs, I’m all for it!!!
I’ve spent about $30.

You could have bought several copies of the game for your friends. hehe
Spent $0 so far.
I think the rate at which you earn REQ points by playing Warzone and Arena is pretty decent. Therefore, I enjoy playing the game while working toward that 10,000 RP at a time, to get that Gold pack.
Not to mention the RP boosts you get that propel you even quicker towards that goal. And the commendations/rank-up packs that you get, which sometimes give you decent stuff.
No issue if people want to spend money on packs. If you think it’s worth it, then all power to you. But some people have the idea that microtransactions have no place in a game title like Halo.
I think it’s important to have that balance of people who either agree or disagree with it. Game developers can’t take it for granted that the players are going to accept it no matter what.
Personally, I have no issue with it. There’s no “principle” of it, as some people say, especially since you’re given a choice about it, and it’s not to the extent of “pay-to-win”, like some other games. It’s totally possible to do well and have fun in the game without buying packs.
Are we talking about the in-game purchases or purchases that come with a REQ pack (like the controller or Xbox Live). If it is in-game then $0 AUD (not going to at the prices they have listed), but if we are also talking about real life purchases then $190 AUD (the MC controller, Xbox Live and some pizzas).
Ive spent around 100 bucks on req packs and ive bought 3 copies of the game for friends. At the end of the day Id rather support the game as best I can. Better than buying 3 season passes at any rate
You should have had bigger divides in your options as i know some people have sunk 250+ into those. I would be so angry if i was one of those then 343i decide i know what we will do, we will make more reqs that people can earn, more pointless and armor that apart from aesthetics has no real meaning…
They picked a winner, i don’t mind the system myself to be honest i have never spent a dime nor shall I just wish i would stop getting armor and visors when all i want in life is a DMR
I wont spend on REQ packs till I`m rank 152. By which time I expect I wont need to.
Not one penny / cent, never will.
0 and I’m proud of it and WILL NEVER pay extra. faq microtransactions!
Well considering that the random nature of req packs has already taken out any sense of achievement when I receive new armour, paying real money would make it absolutely pointless.
Zero. 343 makes money from us with an unfinished and less features product, no campaign theatre, no medals list, no file browser, no non-Forge BTB maps, no cutscenes gallery, no flaming helmets. $60 is too expensive for it, every Halo 3 amazing features were gone forever, I really don’t know what producers and creative directors and Frankie were thinking.
I received a $5 code from Bing Rewards so I used that.
$0.
Though my first time getting the req packs I almost bought the warzone pack by accident. Glad I didn’t.
i have spent at least $25 dollars i have done some giveaways on twitter for warzone req + more
I’ve bought three gold REQ packs, it’s my way to support the game’s free DLC. Do I see myself buying more of them down the road? Probably not, no. But I enjoy Halo 5 and look forward to getting quality content in the future, and this is how I made my contribution towards that.
I will buy a gold req pack once a month, hopefully it is going to contribute to Halo 6 development
Forever 0. DLC/expansions I don’t mind investing in but with things like FIFA Ultimate Team packs, REQ packs and tokens on Forza I really refrain from spending. I like the natural progression in game but also it can become quite a slippery slope of expenditures and I would rather invest my money elsewhere.

Same. I have never purchased a micro-transaction ever in my life in any game. Never will. I don’t mind them being in the game at all. I just don’t support them. I have always earned micro transactions. I NEVER pay for them.
I like to earn it!
