How much money have you spent on halo 5?

Recently I made my first ingame purchase in halo 5, the voices of war pack that contains the diffferent commentators. So besides the original game I’ve only spent 10$ since launch. How much have you guys spent on the game? Just want to see how effective the micro transactions really are for halo 5.

I likely dropped well over $150 for the fun of it…I’m not proud.

i Haven’t spent any extra money on the game, it just doesn’t seem worth it at all. I get that micro transactions are important but paying for req packs is the biggest rip off EVER. I wish they would just do paid DLC already. 343 would surely make more money that way and i think the map quality would be better as well. By paid DLC i mean map packs btw… They worked in the past i don’t see why they wouldn’t work now.

Does anyone recall how the last “How much have you spent…” thread went?

Just wondering if that low rumbling noise is coming from the exit of the last thread or the entrance of this one…

I think you underestimate the capabilities MicroTs can do when it comes to making money. It’s already made millions for 343, and because I never looked into it, I have no idea how much bungie or 343 made with map packs (as I don’t consider maps dlc nor worth paying for) halo 4 and previously. I prefer to stay away from map packs as it splits the community. Even DiCE is being aware of that and scrapped the season pass for battlefront 2, most likely (and I’m 99% sure) means they’ll put more focus on MicroTs as well. The reality is companies in the fps market at least are moving away from paid dlc and moving more towards RNG MicroTs. You trade one negative for another and I prefer the MicroTs over paid map packs and don’t mind the RNG so long as it’s not pay to win and it isn’t required to progress anything in the game.

20-25$ I gave some req packs to outstanding team players that doesn’t reflect in their game stats & accidental betrayals.

Short answer: Far too much.

£14 on the game itself, and I bought a Gold Pack bundle when I got paid as it was on sale for £12, so a total of £26 or about 33 dollarydoos.

$10. I got the Whispered Truth and Halo CE certs, but they came with severe buyers’ remorse

I bought the Xbone solely to play H5…A purchase I regretted just to play one title.

But then Dead Rising 4 came out which helped dull the pain.

Well I brought the H5 limited edition console and chief controller - £450. Arena bundle - £25, 1st HCS - £10, 6 more - £60. A boat load of gold packs maybe £200. Overall total - somewhere around £800 on Halo 5 stuff.

I don’t really know I think that it’s just over £100 with the special reqs and the limited edition of the game

Just for the game itself.

Why would I blow my money on microtransactions on a full priced game.

$59.99 for the game itself. I’ve never bought a req pack and don’t plan to.

Only £50 for the game itself.

I’m cheap. Just the game purchase.

No req packs for me.

I really want the voices of war pack. But will not buy that or spend any money on any 343 product unless there is a permanent option for 12 player fireteams in this game or the next.

I also would buy the NVus skins to support the team if the hcs didn’t already get huge chunks of the req pool revenue. I don’t really agree with taking money out into a game and spending it on pro players.

So havnt spent anything but not above putting extra in the game if the conditions are right to do so.

Same.

You know those people on facebook (and other social media) that constantly post crap they bought/received at holidays. We hate those people. The other week I actually had someone post a picture of all the Easter eggs their children received. “69 Easter eggs in total” they bragged. Now I don’t think they have 69 kids so I couldn’t understand why they needed 69 chocolate eggs. I offered the advice to donate some of that to a food bank. My post was ignored, though a later post did confirm the eggs belonged to the kids.

I get that the world likes to indulge in excess. It boggled my mind though when this type of behaviour showed up at Easter of all holidays. It also boggles my mind that people will spend hundreds of dollars/pounds to unlock content they have already purchased.

Like I get it. You have more than you need, and you want to treat yourself. I believe we all should have more than we need and should be able to treat ourselves. I just think there’s a limit.

Besides getting the console and game, I’ve only spent $10 (well, sort of) on the Voices of War pack.

I say ‘sort of’ because the $10 was from Microsoft Rewards, so I’m not sure if it entirely counts.

Quiet a bit but I have a good job with disposal income that I choose to spend on Halo from time to time. In req packs I bought 3 of the vehicle packs, a $30 dollar bundle, the arena bundle and in a drunken night of Halo the $99 bundle and the voices pack. The game itself was $99 which came with the warzone bundle. Over the years I have spent thousands on Halo if you count consoles, controllers and collectables. Yes I am a proud owner of an airsoft Halo AR and the NECA needler and the MCC and Halo 5 military challenge coins are my collectable crown jewels.
