Level 127. Play almost every day and have since the game launched.
I was going through my Microsoft profile looking at some recent charges, and I quickly began to realize that I have spent a lot of money on Halo 5 over the 18 months it has been out.
In fact looking back I think I have spent way more money than I should have.
My grand total comes out to $99.00 for the game and $340.00 in Req packs, which brings my total Halo 5 expense to $439.00…so far.
I almost vomited. I knew that I had spent at least $100 since I got the game spread out in 10 pack promotions, specials here and there that were $10.00…but $340.00!!!
It almost made me sick to my stomach and as I write this now I am nauseous as I write about this topic.
To make things even worse this situation prompted me to go on my Battle.net account and see how much money I have spent on Hearthstone (my other addiction) since it was launched two years ago. You ready for this…$575.00!!! I KNOW WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING?!
That’s it for me I’m done allowing these -Yoinks!- to micro transaction me to death…well at least until Halo 6 comes out.
How much have you spent on Halo 5 or other video games in micro-transactions?
$99 I think for the collector edition game. I almost pulled the trigger on the Voices DLC pack and the Classic Armor pack, but I was able to resist.
Hey, regardless to the amount you’ve spent the important part to keep in mind has been your enjoyment factor with the game because if you’ve enjoyed it and you’ve got a ton of time put into it then it’s probably been money spent on a good thing. Remember some people drop tons of cash on things much more regrettable.
what ever i payed from the game , i saw a need to pay for req packs , am at 133 now and only 30 packs away from 100% , and i have managed to get most of the spesial packs with req points as well.
Around $575. The Halo 5 Limited Edition Xbox one: $500. (<----Waited for just under two years I believe for it to be announced since that was the only way I would buy the Xbox one). Physical copy of Halo 5 I had pre-ordered on September 13, 2013 which was $60. Figured since I had it pre-ordered for over two years, I might as well buy it since I like the disc. Finally $15 for the Memories of Reach pack since the one I purchased for 100k reqs did not give me the armor I wanted.
Didn’t pay for the game but I have spent a little bit buying the odd REQ pack, couldn’t tell you how much though (probably a lot haha). I did buy one of the bundle Gold packs the other week, but those were all gifted to other players
For all of the team skins and emblems and voices of war 50 including the 60 I spent on the base game. Then I bought the classic helmets as a gift to my brother so, 120 dollars.
And with all the billions of dollars they are making on these REQs and they still wont upgrade to better servers.
Between the collectors edition and req packs probably 250ish maybe 300… Can’t really say. Drinking, Halo, and a credit card can be dangerous But I don’t mind I have spent thousands on Halo over the years between games, dlc, consoles, controllers, and memorabilia. I have that airsoft gun that looks like the Halo AR it cost me $500 ALONE, but it is awesome to say the least. I also have the NECA needler.
Roughly around 300 pounds. I got the limited edition xbox one. Haven’t spent another pence on anything else. No point supporting micro transactions when you have all that you want.
I know I payed $60 for the gmae, but I’m not quite sure how much I’ve spent on req packs. My best guess is that the total comes out somewhere near $200.
Little by little, I’ve spent more than I should have. I realized that I spent the money because I wanted good req.s quickly. Now that I have all I need, in hindsight, I think I should have waited and gotten everything with points only. I’ll use that experience for Halo 6 if something similar as the req. system is implemented, which I hope not.
I got the game for free, my friend hated it so he just gave it to me. I did buy the Voices of War pack, so my total is $10 for Halo 5. Not bad if you ask me.
I bought the halo 5 Xbox one console. $500… And the first hcs req pack 10 dollars.
Now that flash game …fantasy online in four years I spent about $3,000 in cosmetic items. Custom one of a kind types and what not. Sadly that was nothing thier was people spending that a month…
$30 for the download. I just got an Xbox about 3 months ago, and Halo was the only game I bought right off the bat. Nothing spent on micros (*yet)!! Sheer willpower ftw.
