How much more times does 343 have to continue to make changes to the game. How long does it take for the game to be copied and then shipped.

As well as after launch. I’m sure they’ll change stuff up after the game is released, based on community feedback.
I believe its 7-8 weeks until Halo 4 goes Gold.
Honestly, I don’t care if they print it on the disks 3 days before release, as long as the game’s good and it gets to me on time.
what does “Gold” refer to?
It depends on the game and what exactly they need to get finished/closer to the Zero Bug Release.
Usually games go gold about a month before the release date so that the manufacturer has enough time to make the game discs and items for the game (Manuals, Limited Edition content, etc…)

I believe Gold status is one month though I could be wrong. 2 months for making a disc and shipping it is kind of a long time and I’m sure 343 wants a game polished to the perfection stage before it gets that far.

They are finished with polishing and are transitioning into the stage of making the discs and distributing them.
Well wince they got the ESRB rating the Campaign may be finished in my opinion. So not too long. It will take at least a month and a half to ship the game. So they SHOULD be done around mid october. Its actually not that far away from November 6th.

The campaign was confirmed playable from start to finish a while ago. Now, they are finishing up all the tweaking and polishing.
The game goes Gold in about 7-8 weeks.
