I pre ordered the SE, no problem…
I know about the LE getting some maps first and the retailers armor BS.
But I heard… somewhere… about Day 1 DLC but i dont reallly get it at all.
I really havent been up with the bulletins so forgive me as I say that I almost completely lack of useful information.
So what I`m asking is:
Can someone write me a micro guide of how I should proceed? How that DLC works, what else will I have to purchase, things like that…
Also does that DLC`s price has already been announced?
How would you explain Halo 4 (in terms of DLC, content and -Yoink-) to someone who discovered halo NOW ?
If a merciful soul might help me find myself or simply give me the bulletins links so I can see for myself, I would be VERY grateful !

The “Day 1 DLC” is really just a code that allows the War Games Map Packs (which will be released POST-LAUNCH). It come with the Limited Edition. So, if you want all the maps, then the Limited Edition: $100
Or, Standard Edition $60 + Standalone War Games Map Pass $25 = $85
However, if you want all the skins and armor sets, it’s different.

Here’s what to do:
You already have the SE, so there’s $60.
The War Games map pass is $25, while normally each map pack in the Marketplace is $10 each, so you’re saving $5, assuming you plan on buying all of the maps.
The LE is an extra $15 on top of the $85, but you only get a few non-gameplay related items.
If you already have the SE, just get the War Games map pack.
Use your brain - Day 1 DLC? Why would any company do that? That would be the definition of “milking the game for money”.
