How much have you mastered when comparing Halo infinite and Halo 5?

When playing multiplayer there are a few things to master. Strafing. Sliding. 4 shotting. All of these various skills carry you to victory.

Halo infinite has things like the grapple and repulsor which are new to Halo. Now that some time has passed do you feel like you mastered everything?

For those that played Halo 5. Do you feel like you mastered all of the tech movement?

Which one is easier than the other? Which one have you mastered more than the other? Are there still some things you could’ve learned in halo 5?

To me I feel like there is more to learn in halo 5. Every time I go back I figure out new ways to use the stabilize, thrust etc. In halo infinite I already have a grasp of everything in the game based on past games that done the same thing before.

Absolutely have found Halo Infinite much easier to learn mechanically than Halo 5.

Although I found the Halo 5 advanced movement and strategies fairly non essential. I didn’t play the game for about 5 years and I was still able to reach Onyx in multiple playlists with no proper practice. At first I didn’t even know the maps either. I still don’t know most of the jumps and I pretty much never use Spartan Charge, Ground Pound or that hover ADS thing. Only advanced movement I use is thrust.

To me, Infinite is a little different in H5 in mastering the movement mechanics. Based off what I’ve experienced in ranked since launch, and watched in HCS since Raleigh, the game has already sped up a lot already.

I think the super slide off small ledges is essentially Infinite’s built in replacement for the sprint-thrust-slide-jump that could be used in H5 to cover incredible amounts of distance pretty quick. It’s just built into specific locations of maps now, instead if available to the player at all times.

I think a lot of Infinite’s long term skill gap is going to come from mastering the various super slides around different maps.

I think it’s honestly going to end up being pretty similar to H5 where there are tons and tons of different skill ceilings to work through
