So its been almost half a year since Halo 5’s release. and people were disappointed at first but people still buy it, people still enjoy playing it. So how much has halo’s community grown since its release. Well I think that halo 5s campaign was disappointing but the multiplayer is insanely good. So did halo 5s free DLC expansions bring in more people and more attention. Well m guess is yes. Halo 5 has made more money and sold more copies than any of the other original halo games. I know this because I went to Microsofts page and questioned how many copies has Halo 5 sold. It turns out that Halo 5 has sold 38% more copies than H3, H3 ODST, H4,H2 CE. This just shows how much the halo community has grown since Halo 5s release. Tell me what you guys think of this and do you think that the community has grown or decreased in size. Im pretty sure it has.
What’s the specific source for the sales numbers?

Yeah, I HIGGGHLY doubt Halo 5 has more sales than the original trilogy lol
Half a year? I don’t think October 2015 was half a year ago. Do you mean a year and a half since release?
Well, enough joking around and back to topic. I think the community had grown. Halo 5 has stayed between 15-20 in the xbox most played for the past half year, which is very good considering the games age and shaky launch, plus with the online function being added to the pc as a free-2-play game has only help the franchise grown even more. Forge and customs are bigger than ever now, and the Custom Game browser, a feature that has been asked for for over a decade, has brought Halo even more attention. The free updates have also helped bring people back as well, how long is up for debate as well.
Also, side comment from me. Halo 5 does not have free dlc, what we have been getting are updates. DLC is optional, updates are not.

Semantics. Map packs always used to be called DLC and we always had to pay for them. So you can call them “updates” if it pleases you, but there’s been a lot in these so-called updates that Bungie would have charged for.
It’s dropped tenfold, no idea where you get your numbers from but it’s flat out wrong, especially when you don’t show them. Halo 3 sold 12 million, h5 is speculated at 5 million with 343 and Microsoft not wanting to comment.
theres also the in game pop to go off of. H5 struggles to find games in many modes, and is unfriendly to foreign players, plus high ranked players can’t find games due to there not being enough others to fill in.
compared to h3, the community has really regressed in player numbers since. You have nothing but questionable decisions since reach and onwards.
There is a large and active population thread in the Halo 5 forums that can be used to continue this discussion.
