How much has Halo 4 improved since launch?

Hey guys, I recently checked up on some of the changes made to Halo 4 & I found that they really appealed to me. So I just wanted to ask, how much has Halo 4 improved since launch? I sold it a while ago as I needed some money fast but I’m thinking of repurchasing the game if I like most of the changes made to it.

I’m not asking for a list of the changes made, I just want to know your opinions on if the game has improved or gotten worse since launch.

It hasn’t changed at all, slayer is still infinity… nuff said

Its clear that halo 4 has improved.
Like forge island.
It was nice from 343 to give use a free forge map.

Funny, all these improvements and I still have nothing to play.

“Hey, lets play some Halo 4”
Scrolls through playlist options
“On second thought, lets play some blops 2.”

Sad how true this statement is, this especially applies to all content outside of Campaign.

Someone should bring the Halocharts numbers.

I’d rather have a good game…

I’m writing in blue because it makes me feel special… Stop that already, if you want attention write something meaningfull

As a forger, the map is nice.

That doesn’t change the fact that I won’t be able to play any of the lovely maps people created online because 343i refuses to either balance the game or put in a classic playlist.

I mean, don’t get me wrong I love forging, but I’d really rather they worked on making the game fun for everyone.

There have been numerous minor changes/fixes but for me at least, the game-play just hasn’t changed enough to warrant me coming back.

There is a weapon sandbox balancing due on June 3rd, but other than that we still don’t have a game-type for those who prefer a more “classic” Halo.
Throwdown is as close as we have to “classic” Halo, it is more like Halo 4’s attempt at an MLG play-list though, so not many people play it.

Ordnance is still a problem, perks and all the other gimmicks are still problems.

Custom’s are still broken, Forge has hardly improved, Theatre still sucks and match-making has become a lag-fest on top of it being bad.

Well they nerferd the Boltshot, and…

That’s a really good joke man, I really enjoyed that one.

So the classic gameplay we were promised still hasn’t arrived yet? Really? That’s just disappointing. Throwdown seems a bit too competitive for me. Any news on, I think it was called, Legendary slayer?

I was hoping there would be a playlist without Ordnance… What about Rumble Pit? Does that have ordnance as well?

I was pretty much expecting your last sentence.

Oh yeah! How could I forget the ‘X.’

Hardly anything until June 3rd has been done.

Forge Island is hardly useful for anything but actual BTB maps, but even then it seems like 343 doesn’t care much about it anyways, considering there’s been nothing done for it.

Infinity Slayer is just a mess of maps that 343 thinks would fit well with it.

No one plays Throwdown because it’s the only classic playlist, so there’s not much variety.

Dominion has yet to be updated either.

Regicide is for some reason still a playlist when it could just go into Rumble Pit.

Customs have yet to be addressed, as well as features for Forge.

Spartan Ops is still just an exp grind rather than a fun experience.

There’s just been a plethora of regurgitated playlists that just throw the population around.

this

I’d say the Team Throwdown and Team Doubles playlists are easily ten times better than Halo 4 was at launch.

Makes sense, as all the people left playing Halo 4 are those that like the changes that were made to the game. The vast majority of players who would play this playlist left long ago…

its still the same -_-

To be honest, I still don’t like the state the game is in, but I must begrudgingly acknowledge that there have been some improvements since the game’s launch.

> There were a few maps where players could glitch out of boundaries and into buildings. That was fixed pretty quickly, although it really shouldn’t have existed in the first place.

> The second map pack added more small maps to the game, some of which are arguably the best maps in the game right now.

> Season 2 of Spartan Ops was released for free, and it was a big improvement over Season 1. Levels were more diverse, Palmer became a more likable character, and the plot was more engaging than before.

> There was/is a free Forge map available for download that allows players to forge on open, flat islands of varying sizes. Although I personally have not seen any community creations from this map, as I’m not a Forger, I’m sure there are players hard at work making the next best Forge map on it.

> More playlists were added, including the return of some old favorites.

So Halo 4 has improved, but by how much? That’s a hard question to answer, and can be argued either way. As for my response, let’s just say I’m not playing nearly as much Halo as I used to.
