Look, I’ll be frank, I just want the Achilles helmet. Preferably before old age & dementia set in. How’s one Million Req points sound? I’d grind that for the helm.

Thing is, it depends on much, more than just me earning it, & I can’t make/wish/force my company members to play. So I can’t look for another way to “earn” it? Say maybe one million req points, plus completing the game on legendary solo? It’s easily the most “Spartan” helm they’ve ever released.

What I’m saying, is that I think an armor set that depends on 100 people completing commendations is a bit much for more casual companies. I would have suggested ten dollars (or it’s international equivalent) but I’m not a huge fan of microtransactions. I’d rather have an option for more casual/solo players to earn it, based on their own merits.

Just saying, Achilles was a Greek hero from the Trojan War. He is not from Sparta, (whose warriors were called Spartans) so, technically, it’s the most “Hoplite” (the name for Greek soldiers) armor they’ve ever released. And even so, the armor (the helmet in particular) more closely resembles a Roman Centurion’s helmet, not a helmet from ancient Sparta.

I personally don’t like the helmet it would give you away if you wanted to crouch behind something.
the Achilles Armor will definitely be made easier to get somewhere down the line, even if it means tossing it into a purchaseable req pack. seriously believing that the armor will stay exclusive to Spartan companies that grind for kills is just wishful thinking. at the end of the day it’s a business and the in game armors are cosmetics to profit from. I’m betting by the end of the year there will be a much easier way to get the Achilles Armor, alternate variant included. Just be patient
