How Much Does it Hurt

So when I was playing some of my placement matches in Slayer yesterday I was starting a match on stasis and I got black screened while my friends started the match. So obviously it shows that I DNF’d, question is does anyone know how bad DNF’ing hurts your CSR when you’re in your placement matches?

DNF’s basically count as 2 losses, so you lose double the CSR you would have lost had you just been beaten.

Ouch

welcome to halo 5 matchmaking (unfortunately)

Word is that they reset ranks again today so that shouldn’t hurt you now.

Just noticed that wonder why that happened

Not necessarily true since there’s no set number of CSR you loss when you lose. From my experience DNF’s usually count as -30 CSR.

DNF shouldn’t cost any CSR.
Instead there should be a DNF counter and players should be able to avoid players with a certain DNF count

DNF absolutely should affect CSR. If you’re playing and start losing and then quit, you’re saying you shouldn’t lose CSR?

I strongly disagree.

Given the state of the game there surely is a better solution than the current. DNF is a daily thing, so as long as the game is this broken another solution should be found.

If nobody plays with you anymore because nobody likes a -Yoinking!- quitter in their team their CSR doesn’t really matter anymore does it?

OP didn’t quit though. “Player Left” doesn’t always mean the player chose to quit. I’ve gotten kicked far more than I’ve quit. I agree there has to be a penalty, but they can’t get too extreme with penalties due to people getting booted from matches.
