How much do you like ODST?

How much do you like ODST and why.

Awkward silence…

I can only say it this way:

BEST HALO EVER

One of the best Halo games, 10/10, I’m glad it didn’t have competiitve multiplayer, seriously it ruins communities, you have to take one look at the Halo 4 section to know that

The campaign of odst gave me a sense of how halo CE felt ( Anazing)!!! This was by far the best campaign of any halo. It was so unique as you were for the first time not a super soldier who could take on anything but you were a vulnerable odst. This gave me an exiting sensation as there had never been anything quite like this in the halo world. 10/10

I only wish 343 could make another one just as amazing as bungie did. There is no doubt many halo fans would be wanting to purchase this new game, it would be 343s first halo game outside the main story line.

We can only hope that 343 will bring a sequel to this amazing game!!

Who’s with me??

One of my favorites, love the ominous and spooky night time city level, its a nice change. Plus driving around the town in a mongoose like the badass you are…no other feeling like it.

Getting those VISR phone conversation whatevers (forgot what they were called) was very, very exhausting.

I absolutely loved it.

The open world concept and setting was done great. I loved the atmosphere and how the story progressed.
Firefight is fun too. Plenty of memorable moments in both modes.

Absolutely love ODST, it has a mysterious feel to it, a feel i cannot explain as i would like to. Its that feel every halo game had from ce to the reach campaign!! I absolutely love it!

Can I vote something above 10/10?

Honestly, it is my favorite game of all-time. The music, the characters, the script, the story, the environment, the darkness, the sense of loneliness, the humour, the weapons (Submachine gun and silenced pistol, baby!), the Engineers, I loved every single thing about that game.

I don’t have it in my possession at the moment and am considering getting it again, but I am scared to do so as I don’t want to bore myself out of it.

ODST is great and deserves the fan love it gets and more.
The game is noteworthy in and of itself and in relation to the series as a whole.

With relation to the series:
it properly introduced one of the series most interesting creatures and the plot examined them and their place in covenant society.
It introduced a slightly more developed stealth aspect (or at least gave it a chance to shine)
It introduced a sandbox level (as opposed to bunnies usual definition of sandbox which is merely a wider linear corridor).
It gave us a limited window on civilian life in the universe.
It introduced two fan favorait weapon variations and gave them as starting weapons.
It is the first time a halo game steamed to grab fan feedback and shout “lets do that”
It’s the first time the player has been encouraged to work as a team.
It’s the first time the player character wasn’t worshipped by every human and feared by every alien (which was a bit silly and annoying, like having to play through an 11 year olds wet dream)

Combining these noteworthy firsts in a solid, compelling game with a genuinely likeable cast of characters was frankly genius.
Everything good about halo was kept. The bad was all disposed of.

Other than the absence of a dedicated ODST multiplayer, I say its a great game.

One of my favorite Halo campaigns and an awesome and challenging FireFight(not like Reach’s) where you really need to work with your teammates to get really far (Vidmaster Challenge Endure). Great soundtrack by Marty and the Reach Beta was also pretty fun too. Lack of Multiplayer is one thing but it comes with Halo 3 Mythic , which gives you EVERY Halo 3 maps (DLCs too!)

10/10

I gave it a 6/10 and no higher for one reason … well, two reasons: Buck & Dare. It’s a Halo game, not a soap opera. I wanted to strangle Buck every time he opened his face … and to add insult to injury, he makes a cameo in Reach.

I enjoyed Halo 3 ODST’s story tremendously. I didn’t mind the lack of matchmaking, I felt firefight and the campaign were fantastic. I love using the silence SMG and exploring the dark city.

The only complaint I have about the game was the connection issues. Firefight was difficult to play online if all the players didn’t have a great connection. Endure became a much harder achievement to receive due to this issue.

Edit: I gave it a 9/10

It’s my favorite campaign! I love the darker atmosphere, characters, and open-world environment it seemed to have. The music score was also very well put together. Firefight was a welcome addition that, aside from the lag, was incredibly entertaining to play with friends!

10/10 Perfection. I loved the game.

I love it! I’ve replayed the game many times. It’s just so much fun wandering the streets of a now destroyed New Mombasa.

I love ODST to bit’s. It was a great move away from the super powered spartans we all know as master chief and noble 6. I love the sorta free roam aspect around what’s left of new Mombasa.

Also loved the silenced SMG I was never without it…plus I think I’m one the rare few who prefer it over the Silenced Magnum.

its what Halo 3 campaign SHOULDEVE been…

It had a good atmosphere, great story, great level design, and a -Yoink- soundtrack to boot…

makes me regret pre ordering halo 3 back in the old days…

-Open world with a lot of exploration
-One of the best stories of the saga
-Introduction of unexplored aspects of the war and the vision that the Cops and Civilians have of it.
-Firefight was a great addition (I miss it on H4)
-The music is just lovely
-Saddie Story fits very well

I really love this game, but I gave it 9/10 for certain things I didn’t like too much:

-The campaign was too short. The story could give for at least 2 missions more.
-Saddie Story could been more integrated to the main plot
-The Buck/Veronica story shouldn’t had the weight that it had.
-The VISR has to be On almost all the time, which is a bit annoying
