How much blood/gore do you want in Halo 4?

In Halo one there would be pools of blood around dead enemies. Did you like this? Did you want more, like dismemberment? Only dismemberment on Flood (If any)? Post here.

Remember in Halo 1 when the MC finds the video that introduced the flood and the marines found an elite with it’s chest ripped open. That was cool and made Halo feel more dark and deserving of an M rating.

What do you want?

Yes that would be cool.

I love all that kind of blood stuff but thats just me!

I’m really hoping for more blood in the next Halo, it may not seem like much, but adding little things like more blood can help keep that classic Halo CE/ Halo 2 feel and allow 343 to change more things without it losing that classic feel. I’m not saying add a lot, just as much as Halo 1 or 2, not like Gears of War or something, just enough to be able to paint the ground again.

As long as it doesn’t take away from the story, I’d be down for as much as possible. Though…I wouldn’t want the game to be centered around it like Left 4 Dead and Dead Space are.

It would be cool as long it’s not too over the top

As much as needed.

I’d like if Halo kept it’s current ragdoll physics. There are certain instances where I would like more realistic physics though. For example: someone exploding into dismemberments when shot with a rocket. No thanks to pools of blood though, it’s just dumb.

A little blood is okay, but Halo doesn’t need dismemberment.

I’m not a fan of gory games, some gore in cutscenes is cool if it adds to the drama of the story but when it’s in the gameplay it turns me off.

Blood is fine so long as it’s not in your face all the time.

Some gore would be nice, doesn’t have to be GoW levels, but some would be nice

Yes most definitely. I mean it is an “M” rated game, right?

CE got it just right.

Honestly, I’d love to mix Halo an Ninja Gaiden together in so many ways. Heck, a switch over to a pure melee combat system based on Nicole… wow. Can one mix Halo, NG and DOA??? Of course at that point, button combos are encouraged at close range

not gears of war level blood but something like half life 2.

Blood and gore doesn’t make a shooter good. It certainly hasn’t added nor took away from Halo.

However…

If the Flood makes a return, I think 343 should make the animation better for them. The transformation sequence, and transformed animation could be fleshed out. I’m thinking along the lines of the Necromorphs from Dead Space.

Also, I would LOVE 343 if they made physics realism an important feature of Halo 4. I mean how plasma acts. If you have ever read a Halo novel, plasma is WAY tuned down in the games. Plasma MELTS just about anything. Covenant ships melt through UNSC ship armor. It melts holes through unprotected troopers. Heck, without the energy shields on the MJOLNIR armor, it even does some intense damage to the Spartan’s body.

I want to be able to melee a downed enemy until the Xbox360 graphics start lagging. So yes like Halo: CE and more like Gears of War aswell.

I hope they add a lot more blood but maybe not gore.

If there is decapitation in Halo 4 im not getting it. Its annoying and not cool. The only decapitation I approve of is the flood

I just want it to be more or less realistic. It doesn’t have to be excessively gory, but I’m going to be pissed if I can’t rip off an opponents head, pick it up as weapon, and club other people to death with it.

Kidding aside, I wouldn’t want it to be anything like GoW. I like GoW the way it is, but I don’t think this amount of gore would fit for a Halo game.

I agree. As long as they don’t turn it into Gears of War. Halo should stay Halo.
