Crows Nest has some toilets. I should know, I killed a Brute and had his death position be where he’s sitting on a toilet.
he has a snack dispenser in his helmet maybe thats why he hardly talks

But that base got destroyed. And I doubt even a Spartan could hold it all in himself trough-out the entire war that happened after Crows Nest 
TRAMPLED BY A FLOCK OF MOAS!!! Then he recovered and got shot in thhe toe and died from a Jackal Sniper despite fully recovering.
Chief died on Reach actually, this is a well guarded secret since the man in green is to important to the people to be allowed to die. Chief and his team went down on Reach to help blue team, but due to unforeseen problems Chief got separated and instead found Noble Team. All looked well until they found a vehicle, and Cat got behind the wheel.
Long story short, they had to pick up the pieces they could find of former John 117, revive his brain and make an AI clone that they transferred to an other unnamned Spartan that failed the testing (brain dead). However, the procedure was not completely successful since the new John was Schizophrenic, he though he has an AI with him called Cortana, a lie created by his delusional mind.
As time passed he got more and more unstable, he even had hallucinations of this blue girl screaming at him for no reason, how he had made her a promise he couldn’t remember. This tormented him to no end, and eventually he back fired completely. On a far away installation he managed to escape ONIs grip by killing his “guardian” Sgt Johnson. He stole a vehicle and made a run for it as he fired a weapon of mass destruction to hide his tracks. He managed to board a ship and though the UNSC tried to shoot him down he managed to escape, but not without costs. His mind was not completely gone, he had no idea who or what he was, and hence the other personality “Cortana” took over, she “put him to sleep in a Cry tube” (suppressed his concious) while she planned their next move.
Even though Cortana was smart, she was no warrior and once the ONI had gotten a track of their position they sent out their best. Cortana panicked and had to awaken “John”, no matter what, so that he could defeat the ancient evil (ONI) and save them both…
Now that you all know the dark secret of Halo, better watch your back, ONI is out there watching, searching, as ruthless as ever and they won’t stop until they find him. The procedure used to transferee his whole personality to a new body was highly illegal, and experimental. To bad the rampaging John killed the only one who knew how to preform the ritual and destroyed her lab, Dr Halsey, you will be missed.
