How many weekly challenges are there?

Ive completed over 15 challenges now and theres no end in sight for these things. Is it just unlimited how many we get? I just want to make sure I get that golden visor

Was just posting to ask the same thing! (Couldn’t create my topic as yours had the same title lol)

I click on weekly challenges and see some (4 or 5). Then click ‘upcoming’ and see lots. Are they upcoming this week when I complete the existing ones? Or are they upcoming in future weeks? With current and upcoming there seem to be twenty listed in total.

How many do I need to do to get this week’s ultimate challenge golden visor?

Bit confused if I’m honest. Cheers for reading.

Go to your challenges and you’ll see where it says upcoming challenges you’ll see the list of challenges you have left

Seeing that list with all the, what felt thousand entries of “Take Weapon X and kill a Spartan with it” was already disheartening, but seeing all those game mode related ones like Oddbal, Stockpile etc. when I played for 3 hours and literally never saw a different game mode than Slayer and 2 Control matches just made me realize I’m not going to be the target audience for MP and their Season Pass no matter what cosmetics are in there.

I did some digging and found out there are 20 each week.

Weekly Challenges are usually more directed and specific while offering more XP in return compared to Dailies. Each week, players will be randomly assigned approx. 20 weekly challenges (exact number not quite finalized for launch) out of a total pool of several hundred potential options. Within this group of 20, some challenges will be pulled from the ‘easier’ tier while others will be pulled from the ‘harder’ tier with the XP reward being commensurate to the difficulty and time investment required.

It does seem that there is an opportunity to make it immediately clearer how many you have completed and how many you have left to complete.

If you go to www(dot)halowaypoint(dot)com/halo-infinite/progression/challenges you can click on “upcoming challenges” and see what challenges are still left in the pool for you.

Edit: Woops, was meant to tag @Chris5626 as a reply.

Thanks for this but I don’t see why in-game there can’t just be an indicator to say something like X/20 challenges where X is the number you have already completed.

I get that you can work this out by looking at the number of upcoming challenges but it would be a simple change and allow players to check their progress faster and easier.

The visor is going to be free on the 23rd anyways

I don’t begrudge anyone getting the visor for free but it annoys me that I spent all that time grinding challenges and having to use challenge swaps for something I could have got without any of that effort or cost.

Challenges are part of the experience system anyways so either way you would have done them and/or swapped them.

We’ll keep in mind the daily challenges keep just being ‘play X number of matches’. So it’s possible to level your pass that way. Plus there is no time limit on the battle pass but there is on the weekly challenges.

I agree with you. It should be visible ingame!
But I just wanted to drop a hint on how to at least see how many there are and what ones are upcoming for you. Not that it will help since you can’t currently specifically queue into a game mode but at least you can already mentally prepare for those challenges.
