I’ve noticed the population drop in halo 4
And about 5,000-7,000 people on halo 3
But do people still play reach?

yes a good number still play Reach. I still comeback from Borderlands every few days to complete some challenges and slowly finish my way to Inheritor. Mainly just working on co-op campaign and Firefight at this time
On a given day, Reach can get up to 25,000 players. Low points during the middle of the night or early in the morning have about 8-10,000 players. High points during the afternoon of evening bring about 15-20,000 players.
I’ve been playing both lately. Only issue is Reach still has a handful of players that betray for weapons or are just there to harass other players.
The Rumbler is correct about the betrayers, although thats happening a good deal more often on H4 now friendly fire has been enabled on some gametypes.
As for population - I really don’t know if the pop counter is accurate, because I invariably (that means always for my American friends) get a game a helluva lot quicker on Reach than on H4.
Reach is the only Halo game I play now.
H4 is just a freaking Lag fest. Only 5% of my Reach games are ever lagged as 70% of my H4 games are.
It’s just so nice to actually hit what I aim for and the deciding factor is almost always skill - not if your Host as in H4.
And even with the “Best Connection” filter in use with Reach, I find games just as fast as H4 does, despite the numbers supposedly being lower than H4 (H4 maximum is around 30,000 for the past few months).
I haven’t been playing Reach as much as I want to lately. It is a pretty fun game, if a bit less fun than other Halos.
