So, how many of you stuck by your words and haven’t bought anything from the store to show 343 we want better?
I have a feeling quite a few failed when the cat ears came. I don’t exactly mind them, and I’ve been wanting pink since the first flight, but these just ain’t worth it. Sidenote, how long til we get anime skins in the shop? I wouldn’t put it past 343.
I haven’t even bought the Battlepass yet. However, I think you’re on to something with the cat ears. There is at least one person in every match wearing them…lol
I went out of my way to use a 3rd party program similar to Xbox Rewards to buy the campaign, and Xbox Rewards to buy the battlepass. I haven’t spent a single cent on this game.
Anime skins an Barney the Dinosaur skins will probably drop in a year, or two mark my words.
I have not
I defend the store vehemently, yet have only purchased the BattlePass. In order to not be deemed a hypocrite for all times I must consume more.
In all seriousness though I expect things like Power Rangers or Doom guy and so on to be very real possibilities. It has to actually make sense on a Spartan. Elmo wouldn’t lol.
All about the Benjamins.
What I mean is that something like a Barney skin would absolutely be out of place in a game like this, but that wouldn’t stop the dev team from putting it in anyway. After that last update MCC recieved that added armor of a similar nature I would not be surprised in the slightest if that leaked into Infinite.
I will most likely not be buying anything from the store. I may eventually buy a battle pass if they make a particularly good or interesting one, but that’s it. This first battle pass is very low quality and uninteresting to me, though.
ok I’m thinking differently here. WIth the huge success of the kitty ears, I suspect that 343i will delve deeper into the furry fandom. I’m thinking like Bugs Bunny, Nick Wilde, Lion King, that sort of thing. Call it a Disney bundle even
I could see them doing dinosaur looking skins too
Halo: Infinite microtransactions.
Even more discouraged now.
I still haven’t bought anything, only because I don’t like the stuff on display. Neither the BP nor the stuff in the store. Nothing to do with the prices, I just don’t like anything I have seen thus far.
Only thing I’ve bought is the battle pass, as it’s isn’t too badly prices at £7 but could still do with a little more. And I think the furry and weaboo fans will be the cows for this games milking XD
I don’t get why progre are upset about goofy cosmetics tbh. Halo hadn’t been about serious looking armor since H2. (I always thought the flaming helmet introduced in H3 was real goofy).
I mean, Reach let you die in an explosion of hearts and ley you replace your actual head with a dead person’s skull.
Halo has never been about serious armor or anything. Now we’re just going to see a ton more variety than 3-4 crazy things that are included at launch.
(Also I’ve only spent $10 for the $BP, and I’m having a ton of fun with Infinite on Series X)
Not $1 yet. Only reason my Spartan doesn’t rock a completely default look is because I got the Obelisk Stone coating from campaign and that one gold visor from the stuff 343 gave everyone for logging into the first week.
I’m fact, I’ve even extended what I won’t buy to all future Halo products. No upcoming Rubicon Protocol novel or Encyclopedia for me until the store improves.
The flames in 3 were originally for Devs only, so I give that a pass. The skull in Reach was similar to an Easter egg and it was that hard to get you barely saw it, as for the effects, yeah, weren’t really keen on those either. I had blue flames for a bit since it used to be a Dev only option but after a few weeks I took it off.
Stunning. Brave.
The hero we have, but not the hero we deserve.
No doubt sarcastic, but it’s a personal principle. If we are at the point where even the armor you buy is potentially unusable unless you buy the battle pass, that’s not a company I can support financially.
I’ll never reinstall the game so my word is solid.
I bought the BP when the game first launched as having a BP that doesn’t expire was a pretty consumer friendly move at the time. I still refuse to buy anything from the store until the prices are lowered significantly and/or they give us a way to earn credits in game like how Gears 5 does it with gear coins. Even if they do that they still need to have more stuff earnable in game so people who don’t have a lot of money (aka me) actually have a reason to play the game other than just for fun (which sometimes is really hard to do as almost every game is a sweatfest or has aimbotters in them, I’ve run across about 5-6 by now
).
Well the game is unfinished, even though some try to act like it’s not. So, it’s only natural that one would not want to spend on a half-built product.
I paid out $5 for the Sandrift Gulley armor coating and a few other goodies yesterday, so if there is something particarly appealing and cost-reasonable I’ll probably jump on it.
Right off the bat though…I think we start the game with an awesome armor set. And I wore my cadet color well.
I think it’s acceptable to drop a couple bucks every so often if the store has something you want to use regularly.
I purchased the battle pass, but that’s it. I would have bought the car ears admittedly, but they aren’t available on MK V [B]. If 343 wants my money, they need to make items crosscore. Otherwise I’ll keep remaining in the camp who hasn’t purchased anything outside of the battle pass.
