Was wondering how many (percentage wise) SIVs are onboard Infinity at any given time? Would they all fit aboard at once? Thanks in advance!
We have no idea how many S-IVs there are total (one hell of a lot for sure), but its safe to assume a pretty good portion of them are on Infinity. I heard someone say it was something like 300 S-IVs, but that seems pretty low for a five-kilometer long flying death stick.
I like to think its at least a thousand.
The UNSC Infinity is equipped to house, service and deploy up to 300 Spartan IV personnel.
300 for sure. Maybe upwards of 400.

There are likely only 400-600 Spartan IVs in total, to house all of them on one ship would be pretty reckless, although I think the Infinity does house a lot of them. All of the estimates I’ve seen have been 200-400 as well.
As they say: Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket.

This one glaring plot hole continues to astound me, it’s not just the SIV’s, it’s the Infinity herself, too. Yeah we’ve got this ONE Tier 2 level flagship that is basically tasked with being an entire Navy unto itself, what happens if it gets destroyed?! As it very nearly has about a hundred times over already.
So according to the Halo 4 Infinity trailer, ~17,000 personnel run the Infinity. Aside from the command crew, I was under the impression that the majority of the crew aboard the ship were Spartans.

Infinity has a crew of 17,000, including navy personeel, Marines, scientists, and assorted supply, command and intel operatives. There’s not THAT much room for them aboard.
Besides, if it had that many S-IVs, what would Infinity be needed for? They could just open the hatch bays and dump them all out like a cloud of armored death.

That is exactly the impression I had of UNSC Infinity’s strength. I’m happy to have been corrected.
I thought Infinity was the new home of the Spartan program? Id understand that the entire Spartan force wouldnt be deployed on Infinity but i thought that’s where the S4’s augmentation takes place, onboard the Infinity?
The other question really is, are the standard colours for a SPARTAN IV Steel and Gold or is that just for GYPSY company? if it is just for GYPSY then why do the AI SPARTAN’s in Halo 4 all where that same armor?

because 343 doesn’t have the time to make all the s4 a.is different armor and color

Yeah I know that, but they could at least make a canonical reason for it
