Just curious, I’ve played 35 MP matches and am currently at level 11. I feel like I’ve opened a ton of packs (usually saving my REQ points for gold packs) and only have one new helmet and one new armor set. Is this common? At this rate I could play everyday and not unlock most of armor/helmets until 2018.
RNG my friend. I got 4 new armors and 2 helmets. I dont play warzone so I sell my items and keep the armors and some boosts. Helps save some REQ points.
It’s probably better to open silver packs because they cost half as much as gold packs (which means you’ll open packs more frequently and get more armour) and, until you’ve unlocked most of the common and uncommon items, you’re unlikely to get rare items from gold packs anyway.
You also get more req points from Warzone
Don’t save your req points for Gold REQ Packs. Go for silver which will be cheaper and you will get unlocks at a faster rate than gold. Once you are done with silver then go to gold
Try some silver packs if u want more armor, but the highest rarity in silver pack is Rare so u wont get legendary armors, helmets, etc. Hope it helps u out; I’ve been buying silver/bronze packs after i found out about how the packs work on day 2 of the game’s release.
What do you define as cool armor? Some of the best armors are not ultra rare or legendary. Go for Silver REQ packs until you build up your collection. I have been doing this and have quite a few nice armors. I only spring for Gold occasionally. Hang in there. You’re not meant to get everything in the first week.
I got my Anubis helmet and Teishin armor in silver packs. I think both of them are pretty cool.
I got some sweet armor in a bronze pack…so its all about luck
Ah I had also been saving for gold packs, have gotten a few armors and helmets, but I guess I will go with silver for a while.
It seems to have been random for me so far. It seems like I have gotten more Armor/helmets/visors from the silver packs though and even a couple of the bronze from leveling too. I’m sure my luck will either run out or dry up for a while before picking up from time to time. I agree with the other commenters…better value to get the silvers than the golds unless you are playing a bunch of warzone where you can use the weapon/vehicle drop cards.
Best thing to do is play war zone firefight it takes a while per game but getting the req pack boost and jackpot cards help you gain more req points per game and if you do well they’ll reward you with some gold packs I play once I get back from work for a few hours and unlock all types of armors not so much on the visors tho they’re almost rare in my case but I’m a master chief armor type guy lol but I’d say I have about 28-30 in helmets and armor
I was a 127 when I unlocked everything. That was… June? July? Let’s call it early-mid summer. Now I’m a 142 I think. RNG makes it so you never know.
Definitely buy only silver until you have all common to rare unlocks.
You’ll get a few good Armour options with silver packs. I prefer simplicity when it comes to my spartan armor. Look for Air Assault armor, Orbital armor, Stalker helmet and Warrior helmet.
