I have a grand total of 2,015 kills with it.I’m just wondering cause I feel that I am the only one who uses it.Its a useful weapon but it de-spawns to fast,maybe that’s why most players look the other way. It’s no better or worse than the Spartan laser but I like it better because it kills the enemy player while leaving the vehicle intact, as for the SL it completely destroys player and vehicle.
I would use it more but I tend to avoid the playlists that regularly has that weapon. Mainly due to those playlists being full of Banshee spawncampers.
It needs a Buff for AOE and Speed, and not to look like a long arrow when it sticks to something
I dont have many…though I did get a triple kill the other day. THat probably brings my total to 3

I have 37 kills with the plasma launcher. Likewise I’ve only died by it 39 times. I think it would be even but last night in BTB I forgot you can’t shed stickies anymore, so I was trying to be funny and purposely getting stuck to show that guy off…but I only imploded myself inside my armor lock. o.o
Less than 100, but I still have fun with it when I can.
It’s not like it’s a “new” weapon to me, I’m a part-time dinosaur hunter too, and I find it very underutilised by the maps more so than the players.
First, yes the players don’t use it often and I think that has to do with the changes from the beta.
By reducing the tracking ability of the PL’s shots, the PL looses a lot of appeal to a lot of players. It’s not an useless, it’s just not as attractive as the other weapons.
This is when “balance” goes too far, over-designing/over-thinking the ideal of a skill-set to the point where it is paper-balanced, but lacking the fun factor of the other choices.
Combine that with it being on only a few maps to begin with, its use if very rare.

Yeah, that’s a lot of kills with it. I only have 156 kills with it and I am an inheritor with over 98,000 matchmaking kills.
But if you think your the only person that uses it a lot… check halotracker. There’s a guy with 7100 kills with it.
Anyways, you are currently #63 in the world with plasma launcher kills. Good job.

It’s not a good weapon, and should not have been changed from the beta. It’s too inconsistent (four fully charged bolts should always destroy heavy vehicles) The scope sucks. Most of the time you have to go deep in enemy territory to get kills. If you get shot once you automatically lose tracking ability. If the Banshee flips once, the bolts lose tracking ability also. The beta PL was perfect. However, Bungie -Yoinked!–up by putting it on Swordbase. It was overpowered there because it’s an antivehicle weapon. Of course it’s going to dominate players on foot. It would be like having the H2 rocket launcher track players on foot.
355, though with my comparatively low amount of competitive games it’s still a good 5% of my kills. It’s probably my favorite weapon in the game as a whole.
i love that gun! unless its hemmorage, no one ever grabs it! my favorite by far. have 2374 kills with it and only 290 deaths. only 4% of my kills but if i had to, i’d take it over a rocket launcher anyday.

Thats because 90 percent of the community don’t know where it is. I have since found it’s location and use it all the time if I don’t have a sniper.
I only have a grand total of 165 kills with it, but I love that thing! It’s a bit annoying to use in that it doesn’t home in quite as well as I’d like it to, but it’s still awesome!
