In slayer how many shots from the pistol does it take to kill somebody?
It takes 5 shots of the pistol to kill someone with full shields. The last shot needs to be a headshot though.
Regular, Extended Mag, Tactical Magnums: 5 shots
Gunfighter Magnum: 6 shots
CE Pistol: 3 shots
Whispered Truth: 2 bursts (6 rounds)
Ok so that’s what I thought. But how is it that I can 4shot people and I have been 4shot as well. It’s these type of things the drive me crazy about this game?
Maybe they didn’t have a full shield or you’re miscounting the shots.

Is there any advantage of gunfighter over regular pistol?

TTK is slightly faster if you land every shot and draw speed is much faster.

Nope it’s 4 shots, it’s happened to many times for it to be miscounting.
You’re never going to kill a fully shielded Spartan with less than 5 shots using the Magnum. Maybe someone’s been sneaking in an extra shot without you noticing or you might be dealing with some lag, causing you to think you’re killing people in 4 shots. But in a one on one encounter, it’ll always take at least 5 shots with the Magnum to down someone. There is no exception.

It’s pretty simple. After you kill someone for your example, just tap the Xbox home button and then press the X button and it will record it. You can use https://xboxdvr.com/ to link your videos here. I don’t remember if you need to make an account or just search for your gamertag and then click the ‘clips’ section. Then just copy the link of your video and paste it here.
If you want to edit your video after you record it to do more advanced stuff, you can use the Upload Studio on your Xbox.
It is for a fact 5 shots to kill a person in total. However, 5 shots counts as a perfect, meaning you’d have to land each shot consecutively with the headshot at the end. I believe to kill someone with in total body shots it would be 7 shots in a row.

What? tap the Xbox home button once then press X to record. Double tap was removed almost a year ago.
