Taking into account the total mess up with the spec codes & map packs who will decide to stick with SE next time?
I’ll probably preorder it the day it’s available.
I love Halo, and I really love what 343 did with the franchise.

Next time Im going to buy it, Then give the little toy it comes with to my little brother for a X-mas gift
I probably won’t even bother with Halo 5 full stop if this is the direction 343 are going to take it in,
They have single handedly managed to ruin one of my and many others favorite game franchises and given the number of issues with the game without response from them and that certainly makes the case for me to not give them any more of my hard earned!!

what with the fact that i dont have early acces to specializations, Non LE owners getting the map pack for free, Lack of any real content with the LE (This one was just paper!!)

You knew that the content you got with the LE wasn’t exclusive so I don’t see why you are crying about it.
Not only will I not purchase the LE or any form of season pass, but I also won’t purchase the game until whatever exclusive promotion deal they offer is fully expired and that content (such as specializations this time around) is available to all customers.
This applies not only to Halo, but to all Microsoft published software going forward. They have essentially told me that I can not rely on any sort of benefit from preordering or buying a pass in the future, so I will assume I can’t and act accordingly. Even if this means waiting to play their games for many months.

Agreed.
I’m probably not going to even buy the next Halo, seeing how broken this one is.
How about not buying the next Halo?
If it has what I think is worthy of paying the price I’ll certainly buy it. If some items from that LE are given out free because of a screw up how is that supposed to effect me? What do I care?
I will still be getting limited edition if they do one as long as it come in a cool steel case that’s all i care bout forget the other stuff and i play the game for the enjoyment i get out of it, not some silly little rank that means nothing who cares if i’m SR1 or SR130. Its not a rank so doesn’t mean i’m good or bad at the game, i just play for the enjoyment because the game is fun and of course i always play to win as well.

Liking the game and feeling disgruntled by perceived treatment by the publisher are not mutually exclusive.

I’ll buy 2 LE versions.
I have had 0 problems with the maps (I got my maps as promised).
I have had 0 problems with the spec codes (LE gave me mine, as they said AND I got my extra one for playing before the 20th)
It’s everything they advertised, so I have no issues with it.

This, unless the quality of the physical content is more justifible as for H4’s LE I had hoped that the briefing packet would have been more akin to Halsey’s journal while instead it is far more limited :l (Of the 14 pages, 4 of them are merely descriptions of weapons and a single mission brief is provided)
Definitely won’t preorder the LE or whatever they call it next time… standard edition for me.
All you got for the LE this time was some fancy packaging + extra hassle on the DLC maps, AND you paid at least $10 extra for it compared to just getting the normal edition.
Epic fail by 343i.
