How many people are active?

I’m curious on how many people are active on the forums and on halo waypoint? How often do you check it ( posted forums of to see if messages recieved)? What would make you come back more? Overall why for all the people who don’t use halo waypoint isn’t there an in game overlay for companies and community event set by them!?

I have no idea how many people use this site or whether 343 makes that information public. I use a few of the forums on a fairly regular basis. And I’m always a little puzzled why anybody would use youtube comments or reddit as a substitute for waypoint, but there you have it. I would have thought that the Halo Channel would have been a good tie-in for waypoint, a good traffic driver, but I guess they intend to use it as an xbone exclusive in order to try and drive sales there. What I’d like to know is, out of all the players who use waypoint to check stats, what percentage carries over to active forum users?

waypoint is my most active forum community and I have been around since the get go. I was here when they rolled out the new forums that we now see. I believe somewhere around 2010. That being said, I still only have 350ish posts…so not very active. But I lurk daily here and on neogaf. I think the Halo channel was somewhat of a dividing factor. The old app on 360 was halo waypoint. I actually liked waypoint better than the Halo channel, but the Halo channel came to be when Microsoft was making their big Xbox one multimedia push. So I think they created the Halo channel to tie in with that theme. IT is still pretty clunky on xbox and features poor navigation and integration. But the games are still amazing Imo so it is the least of my concerns.

Iv’e come and gone over the years, the last time that I actually used the forums were when they were still under Bungie’s control, and then when Halo 5 came out I came back and have started lurking around again. Ha I actually still have a few posts in my history from the Halo Reach days of clans. Anyway, it was never super crowded back in the day, and while I would expect there to be more people on here now due to the new game just launching, I don’t think record high numbers are really ever going to be seen on here, at least not permanently.

The forums are actually very active. Mainly during the primetime afternoon hours in the Americas. I generally check the forums a few times a day at work.

Lots of idle time between assignments.

I come on here pretty much any time that I’m bored and have nothing else to do, which is quite often.

Waypoint is definitely the place to go for up to date news from 343 and to talk with people who really understand the series.

I agree. I check the forums at least twice a day.

I would say less than 40% of Halo gamers have forum accounts. These forums would be incredibly active if 100% started posting.

I try to stay active, but college’s not making it easy for me
