when you are on the first mission, by the time you go to the overhang of the cryo chamber on the wall it has the data for Master chief in green and a red monitor covering Linda saying data unavalibal.
didnt see this really when the game came out so i thought i would share it. and for people who dont understand she is a character from the books who was dead and put into cryo

Anywho, she’s not dead. From what I read her spine was damaged, and only Dr. Halsey is capable of doing surgery on Spartan IIs. So they put her in Cryosleep until Dr. Halsey can operate on her.

ummmm she was dead at that point, thats why their are no vitals on her monitor in the game, they put her into cryo so that halsey could revive her since it kept the body in a constant state and condition.

No. There are no vitals on her because she was ejected into space along with anyone else in Cryosleep. That is standard UNSC practice when being attacked.
She was floating over Installation 04 for a week before Master Chief and Cortana found her and two other people in the longsword they escape in at the end of Halo CE.
Lol I found her the day after it came out…
But she’s a Spartan II who was Very injured fighting above Reach. Read: The Fall of Reach for that story, and First Strike I believe tells what happens to her next. =)

Both of you are technically right. Linda was “clinically dead”. Not really dead, but not really alive. Cryo shut her down so no futher harm could be done, until medics could get her. Halsey was able to flash clone a majority of her damaged parts and revive her, so she recovered.
I want Linda in Halo 4 so I don’t have to shoot anything…ever.
