I can’t afford a xbox one right now, which saddens me because I was looking forward to playing HALO 2 again. Does anyone else have the same problem? Or am I the only HALO fan who won’t pay 300-400 bucks right now for the MCC and the XBOX ONE…
I’m with you there. I enjoy Halo as much as everybody else, especially Halo 2, but Xbox One’s are ridiculously overpriced. You never buy a brand new gaming console when it’s first released. They’re overpriced and they’ll always have issues, ex: Xbox 360= Red Ring of Death Xbox One: Disc tray scratching/destroying discs. That’s what I did with the Xbox 360. I waited because I didn’t want to throw out $400. I still had other games I could enjoy on the original Xbox so I continued playing those. I waited a lot longer than I wanted to, but I’m glad I waited. I got an Xbox 360 with 250 GB and a Kinect for $250. What Halo needs to do is do what Assassin’s Creed is doing with their games. They made Rogue available for the Xbox 360, but they’re making Unity only for the Xbox One. We all know that 343 Industries will be releasing Halo Guardians soon enough. In the mean time they need to satisfy all fans. They need to make the Master Chief Collection available for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. The game will probably reveal some stuff about the Arbiter and Agent Locke, but people probably won’t see it all until Halo Guardians. Then they can make Halo Guardians for the Xbox One only because that’ll be the big game for the Xbox One because that’s probably where the story of Agent Locke and the Arbiter will conclude and fans will be dying to know how it all plays out. The Master Chief collection seems nice and all, but if you really want to play Halo you can always go back and play each of the individual games. I don’t want any of the Halo games to be for the Xbox One only, but for the sales of Xbox One’s the big game to own will be Halo Guardians, not the Master Chief Collection. A sequel makes more than a remake.
Sadly, I’m not in the same boat as you
but there is good news! Since the MCC is on the Xbox One, it will definitely last a very long time. Be patient, read the reviews, and when the time comes you can drop in and kick -Yoink-. Can’t wait to see you out there Spartan!
This was one of the reasons I grabbed an xbox one. This game, halo 5, the division were the major once. And you can still play the majority of the games on 360 if that is a problem. There really is not much to play on xbox one that isn’t on 360 until this comes out.
I’m in the same boat. I plan on saving for an Xbox One to get by the time Halo 5 Guardians come out. That’s the plan as of now, subject to change (probably will).
don’t worry this game will endure
I had this problem - I owe parents money for a car and a whole bunch of gym equipment, so it’s needless to say I’m in debt to them.
But I just love Halo too much to not be able to be a part of this next gen phase, so I went out and bought an Xbone like 6 weeks ago (so I got Destiny with it). My parents were… less that happy with that decision and now my dad’s super pissed off with me and hasn’t spoken to me since he found out like a month ago. I know for sure, that was right decision

I feel you my man, I would not be getting the MCC if my gf did not get me the xbone as a gift. Hopefully you can get it soon!

Not when the greatest games are being remade. I was going to convert over to ps4 until I heard h2 is coming back.
The Xbox 360 originally retailed for $399. The Xbox One without Kinect (why would you want Kinect anyways?) is $399. So what’s the problem?
Just wait 1-2 years, the price will drop about 30%. Thats how almost everything goes.
As tempting as it is to buy an Xbox One, I’m not going to because I prefer my Xbox 360. Yes, there are more features, better graphics, and smoother gameplay but I really don’t want to just go out and buy a brand new console for one game that we (the fans) all love so very much. When my 360 no longer works I will “probably” get one but for now I’m sticking with my 360. Although, Microsoft is currently making a better version of the Xbox One so when that comes out and my 360 doesn’t work then I’ll get that one.
