How many more updates do you think there are?

I think there are maybe two more updates. Then after that they will release all the reqs in custom games/forge.

I heard from some one there is going to be 7 more but will not be monthly like the previous updates

There will probably be updates as long as people continue to play. My guess is until the release of Halo 6. How many updates between now and then? Maybe one every two months?

I’m pretty sure the answer is X, with X being = to a number of 0 or greater in value

I think we can expect updates until the end of 2017. 343 will do everything they can to keep Halo 5 and the eSports scene relevant and active until a Halo 6 announcement is made and possibly a short but sweet Halo 3 anniversary game/competitive season or two. They still have plenty of weapons from previous titles to introduce, classic maps to reimagine, and possibly a one-off campaign DLC. 343 is doing an awesome job.
