We all know about the Fathom level that during a Gameinformer interview I believe and we all know that in the final game that level was cut, I think it was even mentioned in the halo 5 prima game guide. Besides that level was ther any other level that was cut? I remember Exuberant saying that Chief and blue team was wondering for HOURS inside the Domain I believe because Cortana was distracting them. So is there a possibility that there was a level where we experience that?
I just want to know why Chief was roaming in the desert with a poncho…
Only the good ones, and all the ones trying in Hunt the Truth…Other than that we got them all
This is what happens when you change the characters and side-plots and multiple other aspects of the game halfway through development.
I lot was cut not just missions. I heard that in the beginning of the campaign everyone from Osiris really hated Locke for being a member of Oni, but as time progressed they grew to like each other. It’s why Tanaka has the speech in that one mission but it really doesn’t have any meaning when she does mainly because the characters didn’t change at all thoroughout the campaign. Something like this would have been really cool and would have made members of Osiris actually interesting and likable. (excluded buck of course)
I heard that 343i had something different planned for the game unfortunately studio interference from Microsoft caused the game to be changed due to fans not liking Halo 4. If this is true then Microsoft is to blame for the campaign not 343i. Take that with a grain of salt though because I don’t know if that’s true, it could be false for all we know. Honestly though I think I have to agree that the studio interference is the reason for the H5 campaign failure because it just doesn’t make sense why 343i intended to kill off Jul Mdama this quick or reviving Cortana which lessens the impact of Halo 4’s ending.
Here’s the video I found this information. Again, I don’t know if what he said is true but it does make more sense to me the more I think about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izmlZ0_83No

Wait, what Fathom mission?
OP, you got a link for that GameInformer interview, so those of us that don’t know what you are talking about can know?

The thing is though I’m not sure if it really was with Gameinformer. I just remember them saying something like that when they announced the Fathom mp map. I’ll see if I find anything just to make sure
Edit: tried to find something and faild. It’s weird because I remember them saying that.
I’ve read that H5 was supposed to be like a Destiny type thing where you go to different worlds to play and hunt down the Chief, but that was obviously scrapped. Not sure if it’s accurate since you can’t really get confirmation on anything.

I thought people were more critical of the multiplayer of Halo 4, not that much dislike of the Campaign. Yes there was some story problems relating to the story’s villain and relying on extended canon alitte too much. But the character arc of chief and Cortana plus the memorable soundtrack for the area of requiem was quite awesome if I do say so myself.
Halo 5 story pitfalls are quite showcased and obvious at this point. To what extend that we’ll to what caused it are still unconfirmed unless Microsoft or 343 state more causation other than “we need to double down on the Chief”. I do to wish it was like Hunt the Truth more.
I am pretty sure based on nothing the huge city we saw a lot in the trailers, where the Guardian rises destroying everything and in the maps Battle of Noctus, Plaza, Empire, Eden, etc, were supposed to be in the game’s campaign.
There’s also some time problems in Halo 5. Fire team Osiris reaches Genesis (or Meridian, I don’t remember exactly) two days after Blue Team and somehow they still finds Blue Team at the end of the mission, so what Blue Team have been doing all this time?
According to my calculations
All of them were Taken out and replaced with this “Poorly written” Story
With my guess, about more then 3 or 4. They did have a trouble development half way the three year cycle and having to restart from scratch will ruin everything.
Not sure, but I do know on legendary mission one there’s a hidden battle with warden and a giant knight.
The concept art suggest that Chief may have originally been a lone wolf in Halo 5. Several pieces of art show poncho Chief on the glassed planet and one art shows him surrounded by Elites carrying a huge gun, a weapon that isn’t in Halo 5.

I haven’t heard about a mission in Fathom being cut. Did they say what it was going to be used for? If that fit anywhere I would have said as a replacement for the Blue Team mission.
I know that they initially intended the Infinity to be an open “hub” type thing you went to between missions. My guess is that they may have toyed with a similar hub area with Chief on Genesis, but then who would he have talked to other than Cortana/EW and this would have revealed more than they wanted to. Ostensibly, you aren’t told that Cortana is definitely 100% the villain until the start of the Breaking. It could just be a hand wave explanation for why Cortana waited until she teleported Blue Team into the Domain.
From some concept art I saw, it looked like we were meant to see the Chief on Meridian. We see him fighting rogue mining droids, wandering the excavation equipment and strolling through what looks like a workers camp.
I also heard that the city map was meant to be part of a mission as well.

It sounds like it should still be 343i fault but Microsoft is still accountable. If Microsoft had to step in due to the negative reactions of the previous game that means the story and campaign were way to similar or close in pattern to Halo 4 and would have garnered the same reaction as before and it would have been worse. Although if it is Microsoft’s fault I wouldn’t be surprised but they can’t be blamed for the other numerous management calls by 343 that doesn’t produce steady content.

You’ve made the Microsoft-inati angry
This isn’t really about Halo 5 but it be cool if 343 released the demo/mission from Halo 2 where you fought Brutes in the city and what not that Bungie showed everyone a long time ago.
